there's no place like home right? I have aunts who work in Japan too and they are really itching to come back esp during holidays, but they said that living there is tough too and they don't really have the money to spend to buy their plane tickets and all. So they just go home every 3-5 years I think.

hi staria, maybe your relative lives there, living there is not easy. for it is very expensive to live there. we go there because of contract. they give us a place to stay and money for our food. we dont pay electric and water. its free for us. the big boss pays for it. but if we are going to live there then i can understand why people who lives there can only travel once in three years. i have a brother who lives in London and he only visits once in 4 years too. the standard of living there is expensive as well and he has 3 children so it makes it more expensive. fj, true that there is no place like home. earning money is not easy but it becomes more harder when you are away from your love one. we will be back again there october, as what the big boss promised.

hi there, I am a college student and It takes 15hours by train from my school to my hometown.I love my home town too, There are my relatives and my friends, which have been the best memory of my life. When I missed them,I gave them a call telling them how much do I love them. However, Living away from hometown is a good opportunity to stand on our own feet.

Hi,my friend! We need more opportunities to stand on our own feet, that's why we need to work hard. When I miss them,I may not call them, coz I think I would cry,I don't want them to worry about me.How do u think?

Yeah! I know how that feel. But I hope you can share you feelings with your family and your friends.Just like the girls in my class.I'm an English majored student so there're 30girls in my class. They told me they can't stop crying when they gave a call to their parents, even they live locally. So you don't have to worry. You can call as long as you miss them.Hearing your parents' voice and feel that intimate can heal your loneness. Good luck!

I had photos of my college time. Once I got the job in the university, I moved to town and all were left my native villege. After some years, my family also moved to a different place where my relatives are located. I think at the time of transition, they didn't carry all. I had a habit of collecting all the phots and making photo albums and it was my hobby too. Many of my frineds and college phtots and may school photos all were there. When I last gone to my villege, many got damaged. As all were kept in cuboard for long time and as we never take frequently, the glass paper got stuck on the film photo and as it kept for years, it got clutted together. When removing, the photos got damaged. In the earlier times, it was not digitised and so many good collections were lost in such a way. No. I am not a dancer. I like dance and I have made arrangements for it. One dance master will come at my home and he will teach the children dance. Classical, filmy and folk dance forms were teaching. It is here for the last 8-10 years, and a lot of tallented students were completed their course and do performances. It is so difficult to get place to organise. If someone do it, all are doing by commercial and want to make money. As I got place at home, I though those who want to learn, I can provide place for it. So, students will come and pay the fees to the master. I won't charge anything for it. It is a kind of pleasure for me to give any kind of learning in any way. But I enjoy dance and now the practice is goingon outside the hall. Some college girls have to learn a dance for their college competition funcation and the master is giving them speical coaching for the stage competition programs. Wow... I am really making so boring to you by telling all my stories. Sorry, we will meet again with a differen topic, until, good by. Thank-s Hi Kalpana, Whenever I say your avatar, I will get a glimpse of our Kalpana and I dedicate this conversation in her cherished memory. Right, I did the comparison with hair. In fact if every aspect in our life is simply compare with similar things, and think and act in such a way, the our world and the life here would be more happier and enjoyable. I sad fact is that we all know everything well and better, but we never do it will not try to get good out of it. That is the reason why we never can see the real thing which all are so near to us. Thanks for your nice comment and have a nice day. Thank-s Hi dear, As always, I felt nice to talk to you at the same time feel so sad of you that you are going to miss your parent and other members of the family as you are continue studying. But feel relaxed that all that happening is for a good cause. In other way, you had a good time with the family till you were in school and as and when time moves on, you need to get different experience that are away from the parents and family. One way, you are getting difference experience only for more stable in life. Once you keep away, you will learn more things to do independently and with your own thoughts. One way it is good that you will learn more life experiences. But once you are in college, concentrate more on studies and that should be your prime motivation. From the earlier discussions, I though you completed the colleges and now looking for a job and trying to settle in life. For me, when I was in school and college, it was around 15 mts. walking distance from home. So that I don't have an experience of keep away from home till my college time got over. All my higher studies are from the same place and even for lunch break of 1 hrs. time also, I will come for lunch to home and go back to school and college. I got my firts job where I studied as a history lecturer. I worked there for 2 years and when I got a better offer I changed my career. It was my dream profession as teaching and I got the chance to teach many students. Even after I moved the women's university there also I find a good time. All the time I missed my family. But I used to visit my parents at the time of vacation every years. So, don't feel bad about your separation from family and believe that the blessings from your parents will be there always with you and study well. Buy securing the best and high marks and grades, when you come successful, that is what you can give your parents as the life time achievement for them, as the gift. So, are you planning to keep away from myLot or will you try to access whenever you get free time from college? If you are going for more in studies, concentrate there only and weekends or whenever you feel free, then only go for other works like this. It is not to de-motivate, but to get more attention in studies only. Thank-s

A person may find another place where he or she can be comfortable but there will never be another place where one can truly feel that they belong. Its not the house that you will really miss but it is the memories that you shared and the people living in it that makes you fill home sick...thats what i feel everytime I look at the pictures in my phone...all those smiles, clumsy acts, midnight munchies, biking at 4am, weekend get togethers, mom's morning sermon, my bros meddling...and a lot of other stuff that will only happen at home...hmmm....

I can totally relate to your situation at the moment. I hail from Malaysia, and after doing college in Malaysia I came to Australia to study in a university here, and now that I've graduated I am now working in Australia. Like you, I do miss my hometown too, and I miss every element of it; the family, the food, the neighbourhood.....the list can go on and on! But of course, I still keep in touch with my family through Facebook and Skype, which are very useful "tools" to help keep me connected with family and relatives. I still go back to my home country about once a year, but sometimes I feel that it is not sufficient. I recently just went back to my home country to celebrate Chinese New Year, but I could only take 2 weeks off work, which made the trip a bit short. Nonetheless, it was still a good trip back home to catch up with family and friends. Anyway, sorry I have been rambling about myself.....time to shift the focus to you! Don't worry about university life, just make sure you don't feel too lonely.....have some close friends and spend life together, and you won't feel so homesick. Before you know it, you'll be graduating and then you can decide to go back to your hometown or continue working in the country you studied in. Good luck and all the best!

When one grows up in a loving home, it is always difficult being away. One will miss the home environment no matter how old you get or how far you are away. My mom use to keep a room for us in case we missed our home even when we were grown and had families of our own. When you finish your studies and if you work far from home, you will always have a part of home in your heart because home is where the heart is.

I hate it when I have to work far away from my home. In order for me to have a monthly income, I have to follow order to work somewhere that far from my family and so on. It is very difficult to really spend my time with my friends, family and relatives back home. Even if I have holidays, some of the time it gone for traveling between my workplace and my home. I just that one day I am able to work near my home.

I've never been far from home. Except that we now live separately from my immediate family (about 3-4hours from home). But nevertheless, I really miss them. We don't get to visit them regularly so we communicate through SMS and social networking sites. I miss my mother's recipes and I miss our house. I miss everything about my hometown too, that's where I grew up. But I have to move on now because we are now starting to build a life of our own in a new town, but I am hopeful and I am now starting to love this place somehow.
