If you can have both, way better. You work and at the same time you manage your business is a great way to keep you busy. Make sure that your work does not take much of your time or you should have someone trusted who looks after your business when you are busy or out for a vacation. Sometimes it's good to be busy at work while money is coming in from your business.

Having a job versus having your own business there is no universal answer. The answer to the question depends on who you are and what type of business you would like to own versus your potential earnings under a company or corporate benefits umbrella. Benefits like health and dental insurance do have a dollar value in addition to your salary. When you work for yourself yes all of the decisions are yours but so are the responsibilities. Are you a responsible person? Are you a self starter? Are you good at promoting yourself and your business? Affordability is also an issue it is not cheap to hang out your own shingle and start a business.

There's a certain level of job security with actually having a job... I would say if you're keen on starting a business, either have a LOT of money in your savings (in case your business fails miserably) or keep your day job while you start it up. It's too much of a risk if you ask me.

It is always good to have your own business. It is more rewarding. Business requires greater discipline. Then, you must have a knowhow to run your own business, You must know the market trend. You need a financial backup, something to fall back on if the business does not work. Venture into business only if you are willing to take the risk.

I think that it will always be good to have a business but I think in order to make good of whatever business you are planning to have, it is better to have a feel for it first. I believe that having job experiences really helps a lot. Through it, you will have an overview on how things go around with managing and sustaining a business.
I am hoping for your success.

If you are having time , you can do both the things together. But , in my view, Do your job with sicerity and devotion, and now only in part times , start setting upyour own business. And whenever you get retired from your job , you can start your own business, and till that time , it will be fully developed because you started it setting up before your retirement only.
I think it works !

If you have a capital to start your own business.., why not go for it but if don't have a money to make it just work for it first by earning money from your job.. heheh
I prefer to have a business, just make it sure that you know perfectly your business to start, it should be a good business that you think that people need this things and be passionate what your doing so you can make it better and earn from it.
good luck..
