Well first of all... what kinds of books do you typically? Because I'm a huge fan of high fantasy novels, and I really can't recommend many other books and I can't guarantee you'd enjoy my favorite books if you're say a true crime kind of person.
But some of my favorite novels are The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle, the Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, The Icemark Chronicles by Stuart Hill, The Legend of the Guardian-King series by Karen Hancock, The Auralia Thread by Jeffery Overstreet, and The Magic Kingdom of Landover series by Terry Brooks.

Aaah! A lover of fantasy books!
I am a fan of the Wheel of Time series. You should give it a go sometime. ;-)
I've read the Sword of Truth series too but I'm simply a Wheel of Time girl.
Tolkien and Lewis are classic of course and I do love them too.
If you are up to reading some silly, entertaining, and charming fantasy, you should try the Discworld series too or anything by Terry Prachet. hehehe.

I've already heard lots of great stuff about the Wheel of Time and Discworld, so they're already on my mental to-read list! Thanks for the recommend though! I've been working on the Sword of Truth series too and I'm up to book five now. Sword of Truth is a bit darker fantasy then I like to go for but they're really good. I'm definitely up for silly, entertaining, and charming. I've been meaning to get started on Terry Prachet's books for quite some time now.
I love meeting other fantasy book lovers. lol It makes me feel less alone in the world.

OMG! I've read some of those books and I can say they're a very good read! :D I'm a fantasy fan as well. I like all sorts of books as long as it's worth the read, and has a lesson to be learned.

Yeah actually I have the whole collection of Twilight Saga but never get to read half the pages of the whole book. But maybe one day I'll be able to read it ^^;

A lot would depend on what kind of books you like to read. If you want to read books that are fast paced mystery kind of books without too much to really think about, then books such as Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons by Dan Brown are good ones. If you like books that have some new concepts in them, then you need to check books from Michael Crichton such as Airframe, Timeline, Congo or Sphere.
If you are interested in Science Fiction, then I would recommend the Foundation Trilogy or the Robot series by Sir Isaac Asimov.
If you like fantasy fiction, you can check out either Lord of the Rings by Tolkien or the HP series by J.K. Rowling.
Cheers!

Hmmm...maybe you can share the titles of the books you've read in the past that way we will get an idea of what genre you are mostly into.
It's a bit hard to suggest books to someone if you have no idea what interests them the most or how wide their tastes are. hehehe.
Anyways, personally, i like almost all Mario Puzo books---mafia/gangster stuff mostly. I also like a fantasy series called The Wheel of Time by robert jordan
and I read some classics as well like To Kill a Mocking Bird, Pride and Prejudice, Wuthering Heights....
But lately i've been emersing myself in Amish novels. hehehe. intersting people, the Amish.

Yup, I've read the classics already. I have more than a hundred of the classic novels already and have read most of them especially the ones you've mentioned To Kill A Mocking Bird, Madame Bovary, Pride and Prejudice, Don Quixote, Wuthering Heights, Emma, and lots more.
But I will try reading what you have suggested, the Amish. Thank you :D
