I heard on the news that they were going to close down 60 some post offices in small
what do you think of this here were I live mite close soon so we will have to go 7 to 8 miles away to get to the nearest post office.

Oh my I have not heard this until you posted so I will have to check with my Local one which is only two blocks away and it is small so I will have to find out as our next one is not very nearby.
I think that will be sort of a disaster, as many things get goofed up as it is so wow it will burden the next one with heavier loads. Thanks for sharing and I will check mine out.

If you live in a small town it mite close the country that I live in has two post offices the one I go to is about 3 miles away but if they close it I will have to go 8 miles out of my way to get to the post office.

Where I live, our post office was closed down years ago and the building is used for administrative services and such for the post office instead. We have "postal counters" now that are in local businesses such as pharmacies. The positive aspect of the change is that these businesses generally stay open later than the post office did so we have expanded access to postal services, just in a small space.

Yes in our area as well. They will combine three offices into one and we will need to drive almost 12 miles to get to the closest. It is sad and I would think the gas prices alone would even it out but apparently not.

I just saw on news too. They are shutting down small ones here too.
