For those having been to London, do you find the Londom accent difficult to understand?

No, not really, but then none of my friend there have a real London accent. One's from somewhere in the middle of England, one is from York, one from Dorset etc, so none of them confuse me with Cockney :-)
I've heard proper Cockney (at least they claimed it was proper Cockney) on TV once, and that was quite difficult to understand. Not because I didn't understand the words, but because the words meant something different than usual.

not really , If you heard southern American accent, AKA the accent of the cowbows, Brittish accent will sound easy to you. British accent is actually easy but the easiest would be the standard American accent because its neutral and familiar .
