North ChinaVS South China

China

I'm a boy from southeast China and now I'm studying in Xi'an. Since I came here I have been tortured by the great North-South culture shock every day. I have a sweet tooth but here the people are crazy about spicy and salty food, which makes my stomache sick. I know I have to adapt to the new environment but I can't. What's more, my fellow students think we southeast people are too sentimental and frail-looking, unlike the masculine and strong norther guys and we speak with a strange accent. What's your view about that North and South China,or more specifically, the Jiangnan Region and the northeast China?

I am from Guangzhou. You know it is a south city. However, I like the North China very much because I like the difference. I also think that the North Chinese are frank and much more friendly. I like them. I have been to Xi'an long time ago and I love it. I hope one day I will be there again. By the way, I like eating "pao mo" in Xi'an:) When I traveled there, I had this famous snack in Qing Ya Zai. I wonder whether it is available now. I love China

Although we,southerner, are not as strong as northerner, but we are smart. You should be proud that you are a southman,I think that southmen are the greatest people in China.
