During match my signal was poor I went on the roof to check my cable joint for any error. Rain was just stopped and roof was little slipping. When I took cable in my hand and tried to catch the joint I went slip and fell down from first floor and got fracture in my right hand. Now I am typing with left hand and my mom is angry on me and saying stay away from computer and take some rest but how can I?.
So am I the first victim of cricket World Cup 2011? sorry for typo in advance..

Hi Dear Islooboy! I am really sorry to have known about your sorrow story! I can understand how you must be feeling! Please don't blame World Cup for it, just treat it as one of those bad things happen in our life!
I am really surprised at the zeal you are having about the World Cup. You never hesitate to climb your slippery roof to fix the cable joint in spite of knowing that it could be a dangerous to do so! after that you had a slip and incurred a fracture in your right and and now you are sitting in front of the Computer, to type with your left hand! That too what...about the World Cup! You associated your unlucky incidence with the World Cup!
I really need to salute you about the world Cup Fever with which you are suffering! My hats off to you dear friend!
Please get well soon and be careful from next time onwards! Thank the Almighty nothing serious has happened, things could have been much worst! Please take care!
By the way, could you managed to fix the cable problem at the end? Happy watching of World Cup! Thanks !

Hi Dear Islooboy, I never said that you are blaming cricket for your injury! What I mean to say is that you are so much so involved with the cricket that you were and are still thinking about the cricket first, making your accident a secondary one!
At the moment when one moans out of pain you are posting a discussion that you are a victim of Cricket World Cup 2011! You could have said you have fallen victim to the rain of last night or fallen victim to your slippery roof! But no all it struck your mind was Cricket and only Cricket!
Thanks dear hard Core Cricket fan! Have a nice time! Take care!

Well in the end I got crystal clear picture with the help of my elder brother but right now my one hand is in plaster. I am not blaming World Cup but I was hurt during match being a 12th man (fan) who tried his best to be part of the game as per his capacity. So my capacity was to watch match as a Fan which I wanted to do in best possible way.

Sorry to hear that isloooboy, you seem to be the first casualty of world cup 2011. We can expect many more casualties that too fatal as th match progresses. If India Pakistan meets some where that too in final which looks more probable now, the casualties will increase many folds. I wish you speedy recovery we want you here to enjoy the world cup together.

First of all thanks, I totally agree with you and wish India succeed in today's match with big margin. My dream is to see Final Between India and Pakistan. I wish you must search for our team official sponsor song and the title of the song is "Aman Ka Chakka Laga". Also I want International Cricket back in Pakistan. Thanks once again

Hi! I too feel that finals should be between India and Pakistan! It will give an opportunity to all the Cricket lovers to witness a great cricket as both the teams put every thing in the game when they stand against each other! Let the best team win the game, no problem! But let us pray that both the giants should come to the finals to have a real fight on the ground! Thanks !

Hi Dear Codysmacks! I really don't think Islooboy can take the credit of being first victim of the World Cup 2011! have you forgotten the poor people who were mercilessly beaten like animals at the stadium venue in Bangalore other day when they went there to purchase tickets for the match. people were standing since 12.00 night in que to have the tickets and at the end what all they could get was a thorough thrashing from the police! It is really very difficult to know how many fans must have got fallen as Victims on this day! Thanks !

I agree with akrao Police was brutal on poor cricket fans and they are the real victim. My incidents have low profile in front of them. My question was also asking about incidents like that.

Be careful wrist fracture is very notorious and takes long time to heal properly. Yes it appears that you are the first victim of this world cup. Cricket fever is on in our countries, India and Pakistan. People are standing in front of television showrooms for hours in order to watch cricket. Really we do everything to see our players and their performance.
Just before some time I saw your photo and commented on it. I was wondering how you got that injury. Then I visited your profile and saw this discussion. Now I get to know that you slipped and fractured your wrist. My brother also had similar fracture and he was casted for three times for four months. This is very notorious fracture as it involves the wrist joint. He had same cast like yours. For complete two months he was unable to use his hands for typing but later when pain became lesser, he was able to use both hands for typing. Get well soon and be careful and get it x-rayed properly before removal of the cast. Make sure the fracture has healed well before removal of cast. Get well soon.

I wish my injury not go similar like your brother's injury but I appreciate the way you describe the possibilities I have to keep them in my mind.
Yeah we are crazy about cricket and the scene of standing peoples in front of TV can easily be seen in our continent even on any series but in the world cup its the most important activity of our region.

That is very good. You said fracture and the plaster also looked similar so I was a bit worried and cautioned you. Hope you will recover soon.

Hi isloooboy,
Cricket is like religion here and it is probably the only thing which unites Indians like nothing. Forget Only Indians, it unites Indians and Pakistanis too. WOrld cup is the biggest thing in cricket so it was but natural for you to go up and check the cable even if it was slippery and it was unfortunate you got hurt. I wish you a speedy recovery and hope you get well soon.
