You or 2 strangers

I just had a discussion with a friend who would he kill if he had to choose between himself or 10 strangers
Now i know that this question has probably been asked to everybody, and most people i know answered you, just because they felt morally forced and i think it probably is the better answer, but my friend asked why would you kill yourself just to save 10 strangers. Maybe 2 are suicidal, 2 are murderers, 2 are rapists, 2 are schemers and the last two are planning to rob a bank or something.
What's your opinion on this?

hi pal,out of respecting a real thinker like you i think i gotta give this very honestly so for me the answer would be strangers,i can hardly tel the reason maybe because they are strangers.we people on earth are connected looser than we thought,and the quantum of stranger is not even important,10,20,most people wouldnt kill themselves just for saving strangers.although i would hardly say a comfirmed yes when number was millions and billions but maybe someone would
