I need some song recommendations

I'm planning to do a little music video of two characters of this graphic novel I read... so... I'm in need of some song recommendations. I specifically need an English song with a sort of modern feel to it, and it (hopefully) talks about trust and or a bond. It can be a love song of some sort. I'm just not good with picking songs :(. Thanks!

WELL...if u a want a love song in english there are aplenty of it....u can try apologise,soul sister,most of greenday's songs, but if my personal recommendation would be Owl City's vanilla Twilight.....thats a lovely song....

Those songs are a bit on the upbeat and cheery side. I'm looking for a more slightly sad love song.
