I have not been a regular in church now for about 5 years., That is awful considering how I was for such a long time before that. I have gone through alot of hurtful life situations like anyone with some age on them. ( not saying younger people don't have issues). But you get to a certain age, and people you love are falling away from this life one after another. It gets very sad.
When I was going to church, I had such a wonderful relationship with God. It was awesome. I could feel His presence. I heard him 'so to speak' when He talked to me about a situation. I would walk and ask Him to go with. It was something I wish I could get back to. I guess I will eventually, but I am not very active in church, and now pick my bible up so infrequently.

You don't worry, God will take you back if you return to him. He always Loves You not like human beings. People change but God doesn't change not even a little. Take all your burden to the LORD and he will pick you up and comfort you. Never let your depression overcome you. For I am the LORD your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not be afraid I will help you. So chrystaltears Go to Jesus, He'll help you and Love you just as you are. Take care.

Well prayer in itself is indeed powerless and even when we an intimate relationship with him prayer with no action is powerless.God wants us to depend on him but also to do as much as can be done.
For instance if you asking God for a child but you dont engage in the means to get pregnant will you ever get it?I dont think so.

The Bible says we can move mountains with the prayer of faith. But without an intimate relationship with the One True God, I believe prayer can be pretty powerless. However, I believe God always hears the sinner's prayer for salvation.

Greetings,
There is power in prayer, but one needs to know how to always have powerful prayers to be effective in all situations.
There are scriptures in God's word which tells us how to have powerful prayers and what we need in us for our prayers to be effective. So yes, you are right prayer alone without the power will not work.
Not only does it take faith believing in what we pray for. Sometimes we don't always know what or how to pray in certain situations. That's when the Holy Spirit comes in and makes innercessions for us to the throne of grace. He is the power behind our prayers. This is called praying in the spirit. Everything happens in the spirit relm first before manifesting in the natural. So by getting into the habbit of praying in the spirit we won't be powerless in our prayers.
I hope this was an encouragemet in some way.
God bless you and have a wonderful day.

Prayer brings Victory the Bible says, but without Faith it is impossible to please God. So Prayer with faith is nothing. Talking about Prayer, The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. So nothing can stand before the power of prayer, but of course as you said above, Without having relationship with God Prayer Alone does not do any good to anyone. God Bless you.

Hi Josh. You are so right without Gods will the prayers go into a bottle in heaven and one day God will pour out all the Christian prayers. If it is good then God will answer our prayers with a yes if it isn't good God will answer our prayers with a no. Without God we are no where or no one.
