Do you afraid become old?

I live in Latvia. Small country.
But our government willing to accept law, where want allow go to retired when you have reached 70 years... But in my country the average age of death are 72 years!
How do you think, we need work all life and for relax we remains just 2 years :D lol Funny and terrible!!!
What do you think? Its normally?

Oh that would be terrible as many in life look forward to retiring and kicking back to enjoy life.
Economy today is forcing people to work in their near 80's it seems so it is a shame that in your country they only enjoy two years. I do hope that the younger generation though is not prone to this as it would be nice for hard working people to be able to enjoy at least if minimal 10 years after retirement and course I would want them to enjoy more.

i undstnd that your retirenment age is 70 years.but dont know what is your average age when people start working is it normal 25-30 years or is it 40-45 years?

You never know when you going to die. You could die tomorrow. Maybe you will live to be 100. If you do then that's great.

I think everyone is afraid to grow old.
In my case, I am partly independent in a sense that I win my own income. But I still depend with my parents when it comes to other things that I need. Shelter, food, etc.
I worry about my future because I am not sure as to what kind of future will I face. I cant imagine myself raising my own family. I cant imagine myself working as hard as people I see who has 5-10 kids in the house. i am an easy go lucky person and I want to stay young forever.

This is truly a interesting fact! I never knew that about Latvia. Thinking about waiting to relax until your 70 is a long way to wait. It is important to try and enjoy your life as much as possible throughout the entire time. Not only when your 70. LOL I think that may have once been the idea of Latvia law makers.
But to answer you question about being afraid of becoming old, I think we all do. We often time associate old age with poor health, lost of family and friend, etc. More often, we think about the time we have lost. All things that we wish we could have better never had the chance to do. For some people it can be their greatest fear. Great post...

Yes, I fear old age very much. It's mainly because old age is associated with various health problems and I don't really want to go through that. I also fear that I would depend on people to live a comfortable life and I hate that.
