Well, this question always bugged me and I can't find any answer for this.
I hear a lot of rumors on other sites, that when your reputation is higher, you get more money. Is that true? Or is this just a myth?
Btw, I know that you still have to make quality posts to earn even something.

Hi Neo1000 and welcome to myLot.
Yes the higher the reputation the higher the earnings. As all mentioned above it is dependent on how members rate you for your participation.
I tend to enjoy the site and not worry about it too much, it is sad at times that some opt to neg you for no reason, but as the guidelines stipulate over abusing affects are own, so I try to simply participate and avoid any negative discussions as I come on here for enjoyment and not get into any disputes at all.
I have enough of them offline so I am not one to come on here voluntarily looking for stress.
Welcome aboard and happy myLotting to you!

I'm new here, but I really want to know how to get a star? Does it appear automatically when you have a particular number of post or other people must give you votes?

As said before. You first need to write 100 useful posts. You can see how much you have in the brackets.
You see that there are - and + buttons at every post. If enough people give you positive votes, your reputation will increase and you can get a star. It goes from 1 to 10. But people can take away your reputation with negative points, so be careful.
