My usual attire at the office during those days when we don’t wear uniform , Fridays and Saturdays are jeans , blouse, blazer and stilettos,. I am really not used to wearing dress anymore, because I am not comfortable with it. I find it so formal and don’t give me ease in entering jeepneys to be able to ride.
I only get to wear skirt when we are in uniform. I was just forced to wear it, to abide by the rules of the company. One of my uniform though, is in pants. Next year, when we have our newest of uniform, I will them all n pants. I feel at ease when I am in pants.
How about you girls?

I've had office jobs where I've had to wear dresses or skirts. I don't mind this when the weather is nice, but when it rains, or is cold, it is uncomfortable. Also the nylons that you must also wear with dresses or skirts are always scratchy to me and adds to the discomfort.
I am glad that there are now fashions that allow women to wear pants, and pant suits and still look feminine.
I am also thankful for the casual Fridays!

yes, it's nice now that the fashion can allow women to wear pants. I find it really comfortable wearing pants, specially when you have to take the public transport.
I agree that when it rains, it's so awkward to be in skirt wearing the pantyhose.

I had a bad experience with a skirt when I was in high school. I only wear pants now.

I guess, girls have the experience of having the skirt blown by the a strong wind and all our underneath parts were seen by others. Good if you have a half slip - the old underneath flimsy skirt like cloth being worn by women.

On those places, that's the most appropriate schedule of wearing pants or skirts - according to the weather.

I love wearing dresses and skirts especially theone piece, I find I look good in those one pieces dresses and they look classy with heels. I am alright with pants but I only wear them when I go to the grocery and just run for some errands if I was to go out with friends and dine out, I wear dresses for sure.

Women nowadays are used to wearing pants not skirts at the office. They choose pants over skirt for their uniforms, just as most of my office mates chose for their uniforms.
Me, i chose 2 skirts and one pants. But now i realized , it would have been better if i have chosen all in pants.
There's always the next time, though.

Personally due to my religious beliefs, I have not worn a pair of pants in yrs unless it is a pair of sweats underneath my skirts and dresses during the winter months to help keep my legs warm. Actually I do not miss not being able to wear pants either and since it has been a long time now, it does not really bother me either. I actually enjoy having to wear skirts and have quite a array of different ones in colors, etc. as well.

Yeh me to...I only wear a skirt or dress maybe for a special party, other than that I like to wear jeans as I think you can weqar more sensible, comfortable shoes with them, if I wear a skirt or dress I don't feel good umless I have rather higher heels...comfort comes first...

Me too. I only wear dresses for special occasions or events and I don't go to those often. At work I wear a uniform that consists of pants only. We can have pants, a dress or skirts. If we wear the dress or skirts we have to wear pantyhose and heels and I hate wearing pantyhose and I don't want to walk around in heels all day because my job involves a lot of standing and walking all the time so I only wear pants.

That's one thing i hate in my uniform with skirt. I have to wear a pantyhose and it takes me quite sometime in putting it on because it's so tight . No problem with the heels because i am used to wearing it though.

Can't blame you, skirts are good to look at but I guess when you commute, it's more of a hassle especially in getting in and out of the vehicle. Not unless if you have your own vehicle. Besides, people are used to seeing everyone wearing jeans on fridays or weekends. For employees, Fridays and week ends are days to dress down. Another reason to avoid skirts are the looks you get from other people especially men, so if you're not comfortable you'll just end up feeling conscious.

Yes, with pants i have no qualms in riding those public transport. So next time, all my uniforms will be in pants, i won't choose skirt anymore.

At my last job we were only allowed to wear skirt and or dress suits and at first with all the commuting to other meetings it was a bit of a hassle not to mention on cold days.
But after sometime I guess I got use to it. Changing the code to strictly pants is a good idea as I find it more comfortable also.

I feel the same when I was still in college. I have to take the public transportation, and I have to move quickly, so I always wear jeans or corduroy to make me feel comfortable. When I was working at the office, they've only allowed jeans or pants on Friday, besides that only skirts.

Some companies have uniforms in skirt only. Even Fridays they don't allow pants, specially in banks where i worked before. But i guess, almost all now have uniforms wherein the employee chooses if she wants it in pants or skirts. usually, almost all ordinary employees choose pants.
