I just saw that movie "Sanctum", and it is about a group of people, who trap in a cave while they were doing research. Men against nature is always tough. When you struggle for survival, no matter how nice you were, the real self of you actually surfaced on the top. You might become selfish, and abandon others for your own safety. That is something I saw on this movie. If you ever see this movie, would you agree with me on this one?

I haven't seen this movie, but I can understand what you are trying to say. It seems that the fight for survival takes over rationality. It seems that people will do whatever they can to survive. I think it is true. I think people will fight to survive, even if it means hurting others. I think that is why the human race has survived through so much.

To say that people become selfish when the cards are down is to imply we're not all selfish to begin with. =)
But I know where you're coming from. I believe that survival in dire situations is not optional - it's programmed into us. When it comes down to me or you, I'm choosing me every single time. It doesn't matter who you are or what you are to me. If I care about you, I'll kill you last.

The movie said so and I'm afraid that it's the reality itself. It is said that man is born selfish. When I was in college, I didn't believe that. Then, I got into society, the real world, and I realized that people are don't like the way you think they are.

"KILL OR BE KILLED" and then eaten, of course, that all depends on how long you need to survive in a trapped cave. However, the amazing story of 33 Chilean miners trapped underground for 3 weeks before all becoming rescued comes to mind and how they survived by rationing their food and exercising to keep their respective insanity intact. I had not seen this movie yet but I find anything about survival intriguing and I'm hooked on that show Man vs. Wild.
