hey guys..! :) i have a lot of friends which has facebook account and often updating his/her status. i do that too sometimes.. one time, i start to think why some people are likely to update his/her status so fast, in minutes or even in seconds.. why changing status and tell everybody about what he/she is thinking or doing is so important?do they think about saving some things just for themselves for a little privacy? especially when they dont like something or someone, arent that a bit rude to say that on facebook because many people can read that? hows your opinion?lets share here :) thank you.

I find that with my friends it's very much 50/50. I would say about 50% of my friends are on Facebook all the time - chatting, posting, playing games, etc. They are the ones who tend to change/update their status' A LOT! They tend to let me know what they're doing every waking minute, which I don't find to be really necessary. Then there are the other types of friends who rarely update their status. I almost wish they did it more often so that I knew what they were up to these days!

yap! sometimes i just miss my friend who rarely update her/his status, especially for my friens who lives in another country..they often said they're just too busy to log on their facebook account, they only updating the status if there is something good enough to share with others. they prefer using email and talk to specific person one by one.. :) and i feel happy to read their new status on facebook..!

People just love sharing their thoughts, and loves the idea that the whole world is listening to them. I used to update my status a lot, but now I have grown out of it, and just settles to reading my friend's status messages. There are those who updates hourly, some just updates when something great or sad happens.. It is really a personal thing... and if I have a friend whom I don't necessarily like the way they update their status for everything that they do, I just hide them in my wall. Hahaha.

normally who would do that are younger ages, those who are not so busy or who wants some attention from their friends. Some status updates are done just to let their friends know what they are doing at the very moment

If given a choice, I would ask them to keep such thoughts to themselves. Half the time nobody really cares what he or she thinks. So why bother? :) Me, most of the time I tend to spew garbage along the lines of 'Gravity is merely a theory. Go kiss a monkey' as my status for no reason whatsoever, well except to infuriate everyone reading the news feed with my senseless prattle.

Though there are some people who "over-do" it. Some just wants to state what they wanted to share to their friends or some uses Facebook to interact to their loved ones that are living far away from them. So oftentimes, these statuses do not really concern you. So it is really up to you anyway if you wanted to interact w/ them. Now if you really cannot bear that person anymore because he change statuses more than he blinks , you can always hide him in your news feed so you wont be bothered anymore and the most important thing is that you dont have to delete him from your friends list.

Posting on facebook status is what we call microblogging. They just want to express what they feel or what they're doing at that exact time and to let all their friends know about that. Yes, it's not safe at all because you are publishing your every move. But young people or sometimes adults don't know the dangers of social networking site and they are only enjoying microblogging. Expressing what you like or whom you dislike cannot be considered rude to them since they are only expressing their freedom of expression. I'm not doing this and i got tired of facebook. And i'm annoyed to read those nasty remarks sometimes when people throw punches in the air on facebook wall. So that's one reason i can hardly be seen on facebook.

There are many people who do that not only on facebook, but also on yahoo messenger, and I find it hard to understand them;it's really stupid to say,for example, that you're going to take a bath or have lunch.I suppose, however, that these people feel a desperate need for attention from others, they can't stand being ignored by othes, and so they to draw attention to themselves at any cost.Unfortunately, they don't realize how annoying they can be.

You are right, I never understood why people need to 'hang their drawers out' on facebook with their status updates. I really don't care if you are in the toilet, or if the coffee you just drank tastes terrible. And if these status are all in between the span of a minute, I don't even bother. But I guess deep down, these people really want to be heard, they really want to feel some sort of importance in the internet pipeline.

i also have friends who do the same thing... posting and changing their stat every now and then... kinda irritating though cause even if its not important they really cant last the day without shouting it but i guess its also their prerogative to do those stuff... were living in a democratic country so they have the right to share what they wanted to share funny crazy and useless it may seem...
