Have you ever had it that one day everything is great and the day after everything has gone to heck?
Well, I have just had that happen. I find out I might be laid off and my husband is going to be cut back on hours. Don't understand how this can happen within a matter of hours. I am at a loss for what to do and try to get the best out of everything for the family.
I am beginning to think that farming is looking pretty good these days.

I am sorry that this is happening to you and your family. So So many are going through horrible times. We have a landlord that has ignored our plea's for him to fix the roof. It is now leaking over beds, kitchen, front room, bathroom. As Well as fixing the vents for our heating. None of the heat from our furnace comes through any vents. We wait for it to seep through the floors. This landlord wonders why the rent goes behind when the heating bills become larger than the rent that is due each month in the winter.
Can't afford to move with this going on. Coming up with Security, first and last months rent is like trying to come up with an extra 2-3 thousand as well as money to move with.
I pray everyday that something good will happen for my daughter and her fiance'. On top of all that is going on, they were trying to get married this May. I haven't been able to get work. With so many out of work and trying to get jobs, my age just doesn't work so well in being in the running for the jobs that do open up around here. The wedding they were planning isn't going to happen, . I don't know what their plans are at this point. We just can't seem to get that extra to pull it together for them.
So yes good turns to not so good, to getting worse...
Yet each day we cope and hope.
and
Pray for better days.
Share a smile, sometimes that is all it takes to give someone else a bit of hope,

I have that same situation happen to me but it is a little more complicated. I am married and have my mother-in-law living with us. It seems like 1 day can be really good and then another day can be really bad. Of course my wife always sides with her mom so I never get a fair deal. On the days that it is bad I just want to leave but then I say well lets wait awhile and see how it goes. A couple of days go good and then I have more bad days. I just dont know what to do. I think I would be happier living alone but I know I will miss my kids and even my wife. I will not miss my mother-in-law though. She thinks she is the dad and tries to tell my kids what to do when I am right there in the room. That really upsets me.

Hi. arabgirl28. I am very sorry about this. Is it possible that you can apply for unemployment benefits? I hope so. Many people are getting laid off and it is a very depressing when this takes place. Just take the time to focus on your farming until things get better very soon. I hope that it does, Take care.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Try to think positive as much as you can, i.e. your husband still has a job so at least one person is working, even though with less hours it's not a complete loss like yourself so that is one positive way of thinking.
I have always found out that everything happens for a good reason that we usually don't see until we have received that good (news/thing whatever it may be). So believe and put all your faith in god that what ever you're going through has a reason behind it and you will come out stronger.
Not sure about farming so won't say much, hope your situation gets better soon!
Good luck!

That's how life is, one day they give you all the happiness in the world, and the next day, it might take it all away. You have to look at it from a positive standpoint, that you are still alive and breathing with good health. If you can post on myLot there is much to be thankful for because there are people much less fortunate than you on the streets or in other countries. Always be happy with what you have and try to bounce back from whatever bad things life throws at you. Take it one step at a time, and you will be up in no time.

At my work place, I feel there is lots to do sometimes and sometimes there is no work, its so boring to come to office when there is no work. So I try to be very laid back. I dont find any excitement and so boring sometimes and other day it would sound great.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having a bad time. It does happen to me as well. There are days, when everything is fine, but then the next day nothing seems to be going well. I don't really know why, but it does happen. It's just the way that it goes sometimes, unfortunately.

I know how you feel. It's as if everything is going wrong. But I had always believed that everything happens for a reason. These are trials in your life. And when you overcome these, you become stronger and can face the next challenges you may encounter. Just be strong and prepare to look for other sources of income, even farming :)

I'm sorry to hear such bad news. I do hope something comes out soon. It is difficult to change a life style even if farming means at least to have food on your table everyday. Maybe something else as a way of work will come along. DonĀ“t despair.

We just never know what each new day will bring. We can be so happy and on top of the world thinking nothing can be better than this day. the rest of the week can literally fall apart around us without any warning. All we can do is to take each day as it comes and cope with it.

Oh...I'm sorry to hear all those things that happened to you. And what bad timing! do hope that you could have some good news soon. Farming is good. My dad is a farmer and growing up, we never had a lack of food because the farm would always yield something. And, especially when I was at the university, when there were emergency purchases or projects, my dad would harvest things and sell them, and I'd have money for it. We also always have healthy food because of all the good produce from the farm. You could do this, even just for sustenance, while waiting for another job to come by.
