I was suffering from asthma when I was a kid. I used to use an inhaler when I had asthma attack. However, after when I was enlisted in National Service, my condition had greatly improved. I have learn that with regular exercise, it can reduce the number of asthma attack. Another thing I learn through experience is the cause of the attack. I know what are the causes of my asthma attacks so I would try to prevent them from happening. You can try to discuss with your girlfriend on the causes.

Yes, cardio exercise like jogging and swimming will improve her condition. Since I'm not sure how seriousness is your girlfriend's condition, you can advise her to take on cardio exercise in her own pace and progress slowly. Perhaps you can motivate her by joining her in the exercise.

Pretty much asthma can only be treated with inhalers prescribed by her doctor. Some asthma patients have to have breathing treatments either by going to the doctor's office or some people actually have the machine in their home. It's not something that can be cured completely. Some days are good, some days are bad! I've had asthma since I was a child. It doesn't help one bit that I smoke too, which has also given me chronic bronchitis. Moist air is better than dry air (for me anyway). When she's sleeping you could try a vaporizer in the room....anything that helps open her bronchial tubes so that she can breathe.

Yes I smoke even though I KNOW it's bad for me with asthma. Asthma attacks can be brought on by many things....dust is a big one. You can do like I suggested, use a ventilator/humidifier in the room where she is sleeping. You can also get one of those air purifiers to pull dust that's in the air out of the room. Panicking when you're in an asthma attack doesn't help either, it only makes it that much harder to breathe. If your girlfriend has not been to see a doctor about this and has not been given a prescription for an inhaler, then she needs to do this ASAP. When she's having an attack using the inhaler will open her air passages so that she can get that MUCH needed deep breath. All of these things used together will make her sleep much better.

yeah you right, smoke too bad for you with your asthma. thats one thing really bad too, the dust.. but in her room the air feel so clean, the problem is when her go to the collage, the bad air polution in my city is the reason why the asthma attack came to her. o i see, thats why see looks to try to keep calm when she was in an asthma attack, but im sad, because i don't know how to help her when i'm at this condotion. that one a big problem too, becouse she don't want to used the inhaler, she said , that she wont be addicted with that stuff... maybe you have any sugestion or reason how to persuade her to going used the inhaler?

I used to have asthma when i was a kid and its been a long time since i've suffered from it..its like 10 years now. I do not know if it is completely gone but maybe it is temporarily gone due to the fact that i am making preventive measures, like clean the house asoften as possible so dust will not accumulate..But it is sad that it is hereditary my sons haev acquired it from me and it is painful to see them suffering from it.

First of all you have to understand what Asthma really means. That will help you to alleviate your unnecessary fears as well as to be prepared for any manifestation of asthma. Asthma is primarily a condition that arise due to hyperactivity of airways. So if you are considering a complete cure you have to correct that problem which is not possible up to date. But you can minimize it by medical measures up to the point where he/she can lead a near normal life. My suggestion is to read abut asthma in order to get rid of your fears. Having a person who understand her condition, is itself a blessing!!
