The cricket world cup has been going on from last one week and I am seeing UDRS is creating problems than solving.
There has been two incidents when it was gone all wrong. In the first incident SL vs CANADA Jayawardene got benefited from the inconclusive replays two times and went on to make 100.
In the second incident it was Ian Bell who was benefited as the ball was struck more than 2.5 feet in front of stumps.
This is just ridiculous if a technology is so inconclusive why should we use it.
I was supporting UDRS but I think it is going to be blunder like Ducworth-Lewis Method.

surely its ridiculous, like D/L its also not making any sense.
against india, I dont understand the use of it??
the ball is going to hit the middile of middle stumps, Hawk eye shows it clearly, then still umpire takes decision, simply because he was 2.5 meters infront.
then why is this implemented, then whats the use of technology??

I think they wants only the appeal in yorker delivery to be given out everything else is just so doubtful.
I still can't believe that the batsman was given not out. After seeing the review all the peoples including third umpire and England team management felt Ian Bell was out and he was walking off also but the man that mattered the ground umpire felt he was not out.
You should know about the another incident of UDRS blunder in SL vs CANADA game.

I don't think the decision took the game away from the India but the bowlers who did it.

I think this is another example of why the Indians have reservations of the UDRS. Yesterday Bell was very clearly out, but got a reprieve because of a technicality in the definition. At the end of the day, whether you have technology or not, it all boils down to decisions that humans make i.e. the umpires. So I think it is o.k. to allow humans make mistakes rather than they make mistakes despite technology support!!
Cheers!

This is the case of implementing the technology which is lacking definite shape or character. If the last go is with on field umpire then why to use UDRS. First ICC should use the technology 100% with hot spot and snicko then implement it .

actually i was horrfied by the decision yesterday.heck everyone from the 40,000 fans to every member of the english squad including bell knew he was out plumb.
the only man who didn't see it is the onfield umpire.
it is said that the third umpire gave his version that ball pitched outside, impact on middle and off and hitting the wickets.
thats 3 reds but the umpire still held the decision because of some 2.5 metres.
who is the bowler?
not morne morkel or walsh.
it yuvraj who bowls round arm action and hit way below knee roll and you think it will miss the wickets?
pathetic

It was a very very poor decision.
It was purely an out.
If the ball is going to hit stump is LBW.
And its Middle of middle stump.
the impact is 2.5meter or 3.5meter of 5 meter if its pitiching in line, impact inside and hittting middle of middle ,its should be given out.
Whats the use of referal system here.

I am totally against this review system because it will end the natural decision making of umpires. So I say no to UDRS just like fifa said no to UDRS on half side decisions. Thats why beauty of football is very much alive. So for the beauty of cricket no review system but the on spot decision from umpires only after all they are the most important part of the game..
