The problem actually lies not on the 50 -50 game but it is on the frequency and too much of play has taken away many cricket fans.
Whatsoever interest they have for fifty over games would be there even after this world cup. Just imagine the nature of world cup. two teams are at Dhaka, two are in Colombo and some other in Delhi. All scattered. Does this give you a world cup feeling? Does not it look like just tri nation ODI. And nothing else.

yes u are right that cricket is played more frequently but still people gather more for a 20-20 game than 50-50 coz even when india & afghan were playing in t20 world cup there were reasonable amt of spectators do u think there will be same number in 20-20?

Yes, T20 surely has more audience for that is a short version and entertaining one. People are fed up watching maiden overs and 1 or 2 runs in an over. That is the difference.

I think with the meaningless one sided matches that are going on it is going to be very difficult. The world cup needs more matches like the tie between India and England to really bring back the past glory of ODIs. After the highs of yesterday's match, today there were two meaningless one sided matches and that really will not help.
Cheers!

yes i think you are right . the non test playing matches also disturbs the people to watch cricket & in my opinion too there hould be a different world cup or similar type of event should be held to grow cricket throughout the world & all test playong nation should play in w.c which will increase the peoples entertainment..

I( dont believe that T20 will erase the glory of ODI or test matches.
T20 is T20 and ODI is ODI.
And the matches are going good in this WC.'
The matches will be more interesting when the QF stages comes
