How impatient /patient are you when it comes to waiting?

I don't have the patients to wait for very long. Especially when waiting for somebody. I don't know what to do to change it. When I wait, my mind tends to wander and I can think of so many things. If my imagination is a sail boat, its sail could have been so tattered. And when I realized how long I have been waiting, it pissed me off and I really find it not a nice attitude. How about you? can you wait patiently?

Hey!
It depends on for what/who im waiting. For example if it is for my best friend is allright but if it is for some new episode of a comic/manga i cant waint and it makes me sick _

I remember my best friend. If she will be the one I have to wait, then I 'll wait even for 24 hours.

I waited 5 hours to give flowers to this one girl when I was in junior high school. I think my patience is extremely high when it comes to girls or when it comes to do something that will reward me for waiting. I think it's good that your mind wanders because as your imagination is running, time is going at a faster wait so whatever your waiting for will probably come sooner than you think. Next thing you know, you'll be done waiting!

Those are very kind words, I'm glad someone appreciated it even if it was many years too late. The secret to being patient is that you look forward to what you are waiting for. If it's a person you are waiting for being patient about, then most likely that person will appreciate you that much more in the end.
If you are waiting for an event, or a product, or even a simple mail then it is understandable how one can end up being anxious or impatient. The human factor is missing so it's much harder to grasp the idea.

Hello sunset_haze,
I am patient sometimes and other times I not. If at work and things do not go well and or there are pockets of boredom then I get impatient. But I try to wait as best I can or book and reading material or Mylot for writing.
Thanks and have a great night
Sincerely Unique16

It depends if it is other people. I can be patient.
But if it's my husband. I just don't have any patience for him.
I don't like waiting. My face won't even be painted if he is so late.
I think it is a good practice to be on time. I think it is your way of saying you are respecting the precious time a person is giving to you.

I used to be a very impatient person, back in my teen years, but since I started practising Zen meditation, I have become more patient person and can even feel very calm if I have to wait for anything. Meditation trains the mind to be still and accept those things that you can't do anything about, and waiting now is an opportunity to focus my mind and get it to be still and it is much better for the nervous system and general health. _Derek

I have a lot of patience most of the time. If I am waiting for someone, I will usually be doing something that keeps me from wondering what is going on. If I start thinking about things, I will try to do something about those things or do something productive. I guess that is why I like mylot. I can work on here while waiting for something else and not have to worry about how long it is taking someone to get here. Not to say that I never get impatient. Sometimes I have nothing with me (like when I was at a doctor's appointment recently) and then I do start getting impatient because I don't know how long I would have to wait for a ride. But maybe if you take a good book with you or do something you like while waiting, you won't feel so impatient.

supeeeeeeer impatient. hahahahaha.. the thing that i hate doing the most is waiting but to tell you the truth, i'm patient. i don't why but i am. but whenever something or someone would make me wait, it surely hit my boiling point. hehehe.. i won't get mad but i'm like going to rant until i get ok.
what i hate about waiting in line, like in a grocery counter is that some employees are taking their time. they feel like the customers have all the time in the world to wait for them. some would talk about non sense first before they get back to you. i want quality service if they're going to make me wait.
if i'm waiting for someone, i make sure we're clear on what time it would be or how long am i going to wait.

I hate waiting as much as I hate to be waited on by others. Iam always on time when it comes to agreed upon time, so I expect others to be as on time as I am. Now should people be late, I do hope that they have atleast tell me in advance if they will have to do anything else prior to our meeting, so that I will not arrive at the place very early and just wait for the person. I think I have atleast that respect from the person. I can wait till only 10-15 min. If the person still wont be there, I will leave. I do not care if she or he will get angry or what. If I can do it. so should them.

I have a passive aggressive attitude and waiting for someone, along with waiting in line, or waiting in terrible traffic, ranks top among the list of things that I don't want to do.
I'm not very patient, something that I'm currently trying to improve, so waiting in line and vehicular traffic is something that I won't mind much in the future. However, if we're talking about punctuality and tardiness, that's a different story. I think it's disrespectful and irresponsible not to be on time when you said you will be. Whether this is personal or professional appointments, keeping your word is a sign of maturity. So I can't really blame you if you find this attitude not nice.

Yes I can. I would rather wait than me being waited for. After all, it is what God command us - to patiently wait...till He comes. :-)

Hi. sunset_haze. I am patient when it comes to waiting. I may get bored as I am waiting though. But I will wait. If it is more than forty five minutes of waiting, I will ask what is taking so long. And I may ask how long will it be before I get seen. This is only if I am somewhere that normally does not take so long. I know many places a person has to wait, no matter what.

HI,
I can be a patient person but of course don't expect me to wait for
too long,or else my patient limit will get explode and I may not
be patient enough to wait that person. I like people to be
punctual or at least if he/she will be late,at least has to inform me
in advance,so that I am aware what is going on rather than just let
me wait and wait.It is kinda like testing on my patience.

I am usually quite a patient person. My impatience usually ends up being something futile so i try not to let that feeling come to the surface too often. Nothing is really gained by impatience. Being patient does have its rewards.

I really dislike waiting for anything or anyone, but sometimes these moments are inevitable,so when that happens I arm myself with patience and try to think about something nice or sing in my mind just to make time pass quicker,so eventually, even if I don't like it all,I have enough patience to wait in certain circumstances.

As of now I can say I have patience but not that much. I guess I am still on the process of developing it. There are times I can wait for long periods of time but there are also times that I can't wait even just for a minute. Maybe it depends on my mood on those times whether I can wait long or not. I also find it unpleasant and I wanted to develop and increase my patience. Now I'm trying as much as I could to discipline myself to wait patiently.

Patience is something that I'm still practicing.
Although it is a human impulse to get angry during times of extended waiting, but it is something that can be controlled and practiced.
But worrying sometimes aggravates the situation.
