I have registered to a lot of freelancing sites. I did try to look for a lighter job like data entry jobs cause at least you know what to expect, the kind of job that you would perform and accomplish although the pay is no that high and there's a lot of bidders. Another jobs that I see a lot is article writing. Employers needing 100-500 words/article with $3-$5 per article. It's quite a good rate and lesser competition. The problem is I didn't know if there is a standard in writing articles. Could good article writers here in myLot help me. How do you write a good article?

Firstly be sure to use correct spelling and grammar as failing to do so is one of the most common reasons for articles being rejected. This also includes remembering to use paragraphs etc when necessary.
Make sure not to go off topic, if you are writing for someone who has asked for a specific article they won't want to pay for something that does not match their requirements. Also try to keep your articles organised, i try to link each new point to the one before it, this makes the article flow better and simply appears better thought out.
Have you also thought about trying sites like triond or bukisa where you can publish articles on any subject without being hired? i personally prefer these sites as they provide more freedom and you can potentially earn a lot more than $5 per article over the time it is online.

the link to triond is on my profile. it's easy to make an account there and totally free.
They never fail to pay me, my money goes straight to my paypal on the 10th of every month. I've always been quite pleased with the amount i earn from this site, you stand to make a decent amount as long as you publish new material often. Just remember that factual articles earn considerably more than fiction or photographs do.
good luck, hope to see you there.

Vannyt, I agree with some of what birdie has said, except I have only written for Triond, one article on Hubpages and some reviews on Review Stream. I haven't felt I have the talent to write well enough for the others sites, although after you begin to write and improve with each article you will pick up some confidence and may do well with the sites where you get hired also. If you need info on and of the above, they are on my profile page. Good luck!

When doing quality article writing, it is vital that you have a good topic. The proficient subject must focus on new approaches as well as new perspectives to offer solutions to the problem. After choosing your topic, you have to come up with a heading first. You have to make a heading that will best illustrate what your subject is and it must be appealing enough to grasp the attention of the readers. A great features article writing title will depict readers towards your article so that the company you are writing for will have a better possibility of converting sales. When you are done with the heading, you have to continue doing your quality article writing with an engaging approach. By presenting your discussion in a light way, even if you have a contentious topic, your readers will never be uninterested. You may also comprise your own opinion especially if it is called for.

Writing most times is a lot easier as long as you know the standards and what exactly you are expected to write about. Most time i tell friend who are just dabbling into writing for the first time to take a look at a lot of freelance writer sites and search for writing templates which just makes it a lot easier than it would have been when you don't know how you are to write about what you are expected to write about.
General overview, read my response well and you would know what actions to take and when to take them, the writers would is where i am still trying to get a voice or a note of but i have made most of my earning on Mylot from writing for Sharonbucks, be sure to check the tasks bar to see if there are any Sharonbucks task available they are all about writing and you could use them to learn how to standardize your article writing style and format.

One of the ways that I've read about writing good articles is looking at older articles that are good. Once you read those, you can always come up with the ideas and the words to write your own. You can always look at different types of articles, change the sentences but use the similar ideas and you'll have your own article. It is hard to come up with an original article, but the rewards are much higher than paraphrasing another person's article. It all depends on your priority and desire.

I think you need to read articles on the site that you want to write for to get a sense of how others are doing. Then look at how they have structured their articles: topic paragraph, 3 -4 paragraphs of body, then perhaps a conclusion paragraph?

In my humble opinion, in order to even begin writing about anything, you've got to know the stuff you gonna write about. Therefore, reading extensively is a must for writers. Also, you've got to have a thinking mind. Always think about what you've read, seen, or heard. Remember, writers are thinkers too. Hope this helps.
