I have this ability of typing without looking at the computer. Nothing weird about that, right? What freaks my friends out is when I am carrying a conversation with my coworker, I am typing at the same time. While they are talking, I am typing and looking at them. It's a weird thing I can do and it freaks the hell out of my friends. Anybody else have weird abilities that freaks their friends out?

I type in Spanish without looking at the keyboard. But somehow in English it doesn´t work the same way for me. I suppose that one of the reasons is that my thoughts are in Spanish and I have another extra task in translating them.

Whether you are typing in spanish, chinese, or english without looking at the keyboard, or you are able to eat your lunch, type on the keyboard, and go to the bathroom all at the time, that's just a cool thing you can do.
What's even cooler is that not that many people have that talent. I'm sure a few on mylot do because are all posting on the forums and typing as fast as possible but the whole point is that you have a talent and not that many people have it.
I'm already proud that I can type a sentence without the words 'OMG' or 'lol' and still make it coherent and understandable to teenagers. I refuse to go that route and destroy all my educational upbringing on grammar.

I like that! I am shocked at the amount of times some words are said in English. OMG starts and ends every sentence. Yet for believers you are not supposed to use God´s name in vain. I don´t know how to make of it. And I´m an agnostic, so it´s not a religious issue really.
My gradchildren have had a way of unlearning language as they grow up. I don´t accept it and ask them to modulate and speak slower, at least to me.

I think that's a really good talent. I mean, it does freak people out a bit, but hey who cares! I guess with those skills and your typing speed, it gives you the stars and the rankings and the posts that you do everyday. I think that's great so keep that high ranking!

I can do this, too, talk and type without looking at the computer. Also, I don't really know if this freaks people out but I don't keep my fingers on the "home keys" when I'm typing. I come back to them occasionally but a lot of the time my hands just kind of hover over the keyboard but I still type quite quickly and with very few errors. I don't really know how I do it.

I think it's the instinct of people who type fast and type a lot. Our hands will just hover over the home keys or hover over the correct keys when need be. If you tell regular people who don't type that you do this, they'd probably think you're a freak. Or they can just say, 'cool' and look at you as a geek because that's what they do to me.

Oh yeah I can do the same pretty much it is multi-tasking the brain. I can talk on the cell and listen to both the other person on the line and someone else in the room simultaneously and am able to carry conversation with both at the same time. lol

Yeah...a lot of people can type without looking. I can usually do it, but I mess up on occasion. For some reason it helps to be able to at least look at the screen. I wouldn't say it's something for people to be so amazed or "freaked out" over. It's nothing that rare to see.

I can type and watch tv. I don't ever have to look. I can even type what someone wants in a letter. They talk and I type.
