i mean by having something terrible happen after wards? Saturday, as ive said, i had a great day. i felt so good all day that when i came home from my shopping i actually worked on cleaning my closet some and did a bunch of laundry and some dishes and wiped down counters, etc. Well my son said that was the problem. im not used to that and i over did itThat night around 9pm, my shoulder, of which ive had trouble before started hurting so bad it was spreading into my chest and up my neck till i felt a head ache coming on. then i couldnt lay down for the pain got worse and yet i was so tired i couldnt stay up. even though i was afraid to tell son about the chest pain, unless it got worse, for he would have rushed me off to ER, i told him i was having lots of pain. from shoulder neck and head. well, he checked my pulse and again griped that we needed a blood pressure measurer in the house. he has had medical training in the navy. but he couldnt detect any problems there. so he felt around my back and when i hollered owww, he said i had a pulled muscle there,so he put some kind of rub on it and it began to help. trouble is i had thought it might be conjestion in my lungs and took a musinex. STUPID me, so, i was up every hour on the hour for using the bathroom, making water, you know, and therefore having dry mouth and drinking more and every time i got up my shoulder hurt so it would take me a bit to go back to sleep. i just felt like i was paying for a good day. fate was making me have a really bad night. has it ever happened like that with you? where you over done it?

Hi, bunnybon7. Yes, this has happened to me so many of times. I am sorry that it has to you though. Sometimes we tend to overdue ourselves, and this is very normal. I am glad that your son's expertise paid off in the long run. At least you are feeling better. For the past week, I have been having a very hard time getting up out of my bed, when I wake up. I really need to find something that will ease this lower back pain that I am currently having. I hope that you will feel so much more better very soon.

Hi. bunnybon7. I hope that it will never be related to kidney stones. As far as I am aware of, my kidneys are fine. I have an Herniated Disc in my back. I found out about this condition in July of 2008. My back has been bothering me ever since 2003. So, I truly believed that I could have contracted this condition between 2003 and 2008. I do plan to get a couple of things that will make my posture straight, pillows, some pain cream for Herniated Disc sufferers. I also plan to buy some Biofreeze. My Chiropractor used this on me when I had pain, and it works.

have you asked the doctor if it could be kidney related? i always worry about that when my back hurts there. because ive had kidney stones. son says the icey hot stuff he put on my back helps.

I hope you feel better soon! I think this always happens to me in terms of food. Sometimes, I go overboard, and eat anything and everything. Of course I'd regret it later at the bathroom. It's too soft or too hard! And the worst is, it's too watery! (Sorry if this is too graphic.) And, of course, there's always that long-term regret - the tip in the scales!

Right. I guess we should always be mindful of our body's limits.

No, I'm pretty sure I've never felt like I was paying the price for having a good day.
In fact, I don't think I've ever been in as much pain as what you were in...unless you count childbirth.
How do you cope with that? I don't know what I'd do if my shoulder got that bad...I have a bad shoulder and it's real agony to do my bra up in the morning.

now im starting to wonder if having a bad shoulder is somehow related to us having to carry the weight in a bra. since a lot of my responders here are women that says they also have a bad shoulder. maybe it breaks down muscles or something.

I hope that you are at least feeling better now. As for me, I really can't think of any time that I've felt like I had to pay for having a really good day. I mean there are those times that we will go out as a family hiking or something like that and it will make me sore for a couple of days afterward, but to me the pain is worth the adventures that we were able to have as a family. Other than that though, I think that having a really good day is my payment for all of the bad days that I have.

oh thats for sure. everyone deserves a good day at least once a week or so. and when i was as young as you, i never had much health problems or pains at all. so i should be thankful for that.

That doesn't sound like much fun. I suppose I've pulled a muscle or something and ended up suffering on what was a good day, but I can't think of an example right now.

I pay all the time, whether I have a great day or not.
I have fibromyalgia so, if I overdo it, like I have been recently with the weather getting warmer, I pay... that night and the next day, sometimes two days afterward. I'm so sore after working in the garden after awhile of not being outside. It also happened when my husband came home from the hospital after his spine surgery. I had to take care of everything in the house, including the animals and HIM. He was quite incapacitated so I had to do everything for him. Well, except going to the bathroom. He did manage to do that on his own.

sometimes if i'm in my place all day and has to do something to make it okay or to get me through the day with a smile on my face before i close my eyes for a good night sleep.
sometimes, i ask for it. hehehehe.. i ask someone to help me out cause am just the type of person that would wait for something until it hits me. hahaha.. laid back or reserved type you know. :D

I usually pay for almost anything I do as I tend to way over do just about anything I do. I am so sorry and hope you are feeling better.
Usually when I am determined to complete x amount of articles in one day I tend to over do it and the next day instead of being ahead of my set goals I end up behind for 2 -3 days there after.

Hope you get well soon. It's nice to have a nice son beside you :)
I've once trying to clean the kitchen since it's very dirty. The result is nice. But the night I've got an ache all over my body :D
Well, I guess it doesn't matter for me. Since I only needed a good night sleep. And in the morning, my body seemed to be better. But I guess, it pays! :)

I cannot think of any specific time that has happened but I do tend to over do things and then pay for it, and not be able to figure out why I have sore muscles, etc. I am sorry you overdid it. You need to be your own voice of reason and make sure you rest after you have been out. You may be able to build up some in the future, but friend, you need to take it easy.

Poor you, I hope you are feeling better today. I have had days like that so finally, I am learning to make my day more balanced. I tell myself to take it easy since i used to overwhelm myself all the time! Now that I have a 'system' going: stretch, clean a little each day.. my body is getting more stable to handle more of the other tasks. Take care!
