When i was 2 years of age, my father was abducted by the terrorists. Simply because he was a former military officer. Our life became a mess realizing that my mom was the only bread winner in the family. Life was not easy for us. We grew up,studied,Graduated in College, had our own lives but have no enough news about dad.We have not heard anything about him (if he is dead or still alive),, nothing!!! Now that im grown up,, im still longing for the LOVE of a FATHER if there is one wish that i want to ask,,it would be.. taking my father back in our family! Spending the rest of our lives together.Life won't never be the same without you dad! How i wish i get to know you personally... For those who grew up with complete parents,, please!! let them feel that you love them every single day.. because you will never know when they will be taken away from you.Surely, you will regret if you won't be given the time/chance to let your parents know how much you love them!!

I feel so sad reading your post. It is just not right that you don't know whatever happened to him! Is there no way of you knowing what happened? I sincerely hope you find him, or he finds his way back to you, or if, God forbid, he's gone, you'll know and perhaps know why. You are right, so often we take things and even people for granted. I'm guilty of this, and though I know that they won't be here with me always, I still need to let them know, everyday if that is what it takes, that I do love them and always will.

I can't imagine what your family must have gone through all these years. And what you're still going through right now. I do hope that one day soon you'll know what really happened. That is a really great advice. I still have both my parents. But they live abroad. Actually my dad has been working abroad since I was 3 years old. I'm 30 plus now (never mind the plus..Haha!). But they come home every year. And even if this has been going on for so long, I still cry every time I drive them to the airport. I just did on the first week of february. My situation is by far different from yours, but the principle of letting them know how we feel about them is just as important. We don't want to leave things unsaid. Sure they know we love them, but it's different if they hear it, too.

Glad to hear it from you!! it is what i really want.. i want people to appreciate, respect and love their parents because this is the right thing to do. Hope my situation would be an eye opener to those who never respect their parents despite and in spite of all the things that they have done for us..

I'm so sorry for what happened to you dad. I hope he's OK. I grew up with my mother but am with both my parents now. It's nice to have them around even though we quarrel sometimes. God bless you and have a good dayy..
