The first thing that comes into my mind is ,” How I wish they could still see my daughter be a neurologist, have a family and for them to be able to enjoy their great grand children.
“
Yes, how I wish too that they could still live to more, more, more years with us.
Are you with me?

Unlike my brother and my sister who live near my parents, I live half way around the world. And the few times I see my parents, I could definitely see changes in their persona. I could see them getting old. And everytime I do, I am overcome with guilt on how I could be away from them for the longest time.
I also wish my kids are with them. So they could also enjoy the fun times of living with small children.

My sister-in-law who have just visited us and her parents told me, she feels guilty too that she wasn't able to give them time in their old age. She was crying really hard when she left with her family to go back to Australia. She said she feels so guilty.

There are so many wishes. But you know time is flowing little by little without any hesitance. Yes, our parents are growing older and older, you can see more and more white hair on their head. I wish they can be healthy all the time and enjoy their time with the whole family. It's a pity that the children in our family are studying outside or working in another city. We have not very much time to stay with our parents. So, I wish I could always go home to take care of them. And I am working hard to be able to live in the same city with them, with the whole family.
There are always some difficulties out of our control, but we are trying.

A call or a text to them always would assure them that they are being thought of always.

I think when my parents get really old, I will try to focus on all the great things we did together when they were young. I will be very sad when my parents grow old and can no longer care for themselves.

It is really heartbreaking when we see that our parents has grown old already. Much more if they can no longer care for themselves.
Good if you are not working because you yourself could give the care they need. But if not, you have no choice but to get someone to take care of themselves. Though you are not sure if they are taken cared with love, that we should have been giving them .

As long as they are in good health, that would be great. I want them to see me that they have not failed in raising a good son. I want them to see my child to grow to be successful as well. But if God is already calling them, sad as it maybe, but it's beyond our control.

Let's just be ready for that time to come. But meanwhile do the best we can to take care of them so they may still live longer wit us.

First of all, when I see my parents grown up already, I also thinks that I have also growing up. Thus, since i have grown up, I could take care of them and tend to their needs. I know that someday they will also perish so I see to it that I am always taking good care of them.

The least that we could do now for them is give them our time , care and attention. That way, they will be motivated to live longer.

I feel really sad to see my parents growing old and yet i don't even have a part time job of my own. I really want to get hold of a good permanent job and with the first pay buy them something really nice. I would want to spend my first pay on them and thank them for what they have done for me all my life. I love them.

You don't have to give them material things just to be able to show them your care and love. You simply just have to be obedient, loving and always helpful at home then, that way they will know you do really care and love them. Good luck.

I used to get very upset and scared when I saw my parents getting old; now my father is no longer alive and I still rmemeber telling him' no papa; you are looking very young' and he used to smile and reply,"Ok! I am only forty " when he was sixtyfive. He was incapacitated for more than 19 years and faced life with a lot of cheer. Fianlly he ppssed away when he was 74. I still feel bad when I see my mother and find it difficult to take in that she is old. I myself am getting old and keep reminding myself of it.
