There is no reason to make decisions based on a non Christian's belief in the Holy Bible, a non Muslim's belief in the Holy Qur'an or layman's view of a book on astronomy.
Notice I said, "make decisions based on". I worded it like that because there is a difference between making decisions based on, discussing, talking about, learning from or understanding.
We can discuss, talk about, learn from, and understand others without making decisions based on what they say about yours. Of course, if you change your mind about something, then your change is your own, not theirs. That's a discussion for another OP. ;~)

when I started practicing my faith, I learned that the results of my decisions is not fully on my property. by relying on the creator, i realize that i am not all-powerful, but Allah is. I'm not in control of every variable, but Allah is (be it known or unknown to us).
I'm making decisions based on the creator's view.

Yup, that is as it should be. I don't base my belief in Jesus Christ on your beliefs about him, as you don't base your belief in Allah on my belief in God.

It's all part of being truly open minded. I'm not afraid of other views on the world, I enjoy discussions about other worldviews and religions. Many are brainwashed into thinking that it is rude to bring up religion with someone who differs from you. Why? If you truly believe what you believe about faith, God or non/god, then why be afraid to discuss it?

You are right. If the person who is a non-Christians suggests that you do something, it may not seem wrong in his eyes because he does not have God's spirit guiding him. So what may be an innocent suggestion may lead to further problems. It is best to only do what God would want or what your godly friends would want you to do. And then to consider your circumstances. Then you are sure not to go wrong.

I make my decisions based on what I see and hear. I am not into the whole God thing myself but I will not disown or put down anyone that is. That is my opinion and my decision based on what I have seen and heard in my life. I will not make a decision based on anyone else's beliefs, only mine.
