The rebolution of 1862 if not im mistaken: Rizal ways to be free from the colonizers by his writings. Bonifacio ways to free from colonizers is to use gun and swords. You cannot get the power of politics in writings only because the one who is in that state they not give colonize country by in simple ways. In the leaves of our history, specified for that time the colonizer of our nation is already have a roots that hard to pick by hand, its need by force. For me, bonifacio is my national hero. . . . . Its only my openion, Thanks.

I guess there are always two kinds of heroes. One who fight for freedom through the use of force, the other through peaceful means. If you can win your freedom through words and writings, that would really be a very noble thing and worthy of being called a hero. But for me, I don't think it could succeed with using some small force. The complement each other. Even our 1986 revolution would not have succeeded if the initiators didn't brandished weapons to show their opponent that they are ready to fight and die to attain freedom.

Once, when I was young, I would argue that Jose Rizal couldn't be our national hero. He isn't my type. I would have fallen for the bronze physique of Lapu- lapu, his long hair, his warrior stance. I rebut anyone who would negate me when I say Magellan coiled just by looking at Lapu-lapu.
Later, when I was older, I would picture Gregorio del Pilar holding a stand at Tirad Pass, keeping the enemy at bay and allowing Aguinaldo to get to the mountains. I imagined my Greg, all 23 years of him, gallant and heroic...
These two are my kind of heroes...
...but of course my youth was one stage where I was allowed to dream...
