ya,Malinga started his WC with a beauty. He was absolutly brilliant . His yorkers were very toughful to bat and enjoyable to watch. If he bowls like this in all matches,then the other teams will suffer a lot. Now Malinga becomes the only man who has 2 Hat trick in WC. Congratulations for him on his great performance. Srilankan top order is in good form,they ahave proved it in all matches.

Yes, it was another one sided match. Kenya has been really very poor in this tournament. The only highlight of the match really was Malinga's hat trick. But Malinga himself rates his other hat trick against South Africa much higher than this one. Cheers! Ram

well this hat trick does not mean much to me frankly speaking. a team like kenya is not at all up to the mark and that we have seen in the previous matches. so a bowler of malinga's pace can be quite difficult for them to play. yes, i know three wickets continuous is a great thing and requires skill but then too against kenya decreases the value :P if it would have been against a better team, it would have been a great achievement. and yes, again i think ICC must think over the fact that they should keep some kind of bar against a team to qualify and play in the world cup. otherwise the quality of matches are getting worst. does not look like world cup matches yet. except a few obviously.

What a match. And its very big win by Sri Lanka with very good run rate. Also Malina, the star of the day, stood with his hatrick feat giving a average rate of 5 per over. Whata comeback for the Lions, Surely this will give a tight response for the world cup

Sri Lanka recorded a resounding victory over minnows Kenya. They seem to have taken the revenge of Loss to Pakistan over Kenya. Return of Malinga to their ranks made a lot of difference. Their balling attack which looked ordinary against Pakistan, assumed great sting. It is going to be a dangerous side in this world cup. A lesson for I.C.C. in this match. All these teams associate members of I.C.C. are playing for last more than 2 decades but their standard seems to be what 20 years back. I.C.C. does not seem to do anything to improve their game. Their game must be suffering for want of funds. I.C.C. must provide them with that and give sufficient exposure with member countries.

It is hight time, that ICC removes all these minnows from the world cup.Till now, none of the associate teams have done anything remotely interesting. Holland were the only team which gave some fight to England, all the other teams till today are just passengers in this tournament.

Hey Venkit, You sound mighty pleased with the way the Sri lankan team performed in the match. Its good that they performed as a combined unit with each of the bowlers contributing to the victory. That made sure that the batsmen had nothing much to do in the later innings. Malinga coming after a injury showed the other teams that he still is the one who they should be watching out. They must not forget his act of taking four wickets in four balls against the South African team in a losing cause. Malinga is the strike bowler for the Sri lankan team in this particular world cup. The captain should make sure that he is preserved from any further injuries as if the Sri lankan team is to have nay chance in this world cup they need to have Malinga firing all cylinders. Anyway it was the first match of this tournament for him and still the game is on and hope there is much more to come from all the teams as in two consecutive days we have witnessed as many hat-tricks..
