I remember when I read Da Vinci´s code on vacation. I also liked those Grisham novel, such as The client or Pelican´s brief. Do you have a new title to take to my vacations? I haven´t read much this year so your ideas will surely help me. Shoot!!!

If you want to read a Hungarian masterpiece, you may read the novel The Man With The Golden Touch from Jokai Mor. I don't know if it is available in Spanish, but I know that this novel is translated in many other languages as well. I don't like to read, but I have read this one. Maybe you should give it a try.

Hiya Margi, "A Dark and Distant Shore" is one of my up to date favourites it´s by Reay Tannahill and she has the ability to take you back to those times. It´s a Romantic History Novel of course it´s fiction but it makes for some good reading. You should be able to find it around. I also had her other Book "The World The Flesh and The Devil" and although it sounds very off putting it is a another very good read too. I was looking on Amazon but was not sure what you want to read. So I thought of my two Favourites.

The second one has a good title. What is it about? It has to be a book easy to find because I don´t have much time to get them. Thanks and

It sounds good. I´ll see if I can get it with such a short time to check it. But if not, I´ll try to get it after my vacations. Thanks

Hey...guicha (love that name--seems like a goddess)...am rushing to get my responses in...in a hurry, as winds of 100+kmh are predicted for tonite, so I will be out of power for a coupla days. If you like John Grishams writing style...he has a plethora of really good books, listed on the cover of one of his you have. I love John Grisham! Oops, power is flickering....HUGZ!

I have read a lot of them. They are favorites for vacation reading. My avatar name comes from a character in an awesome book written by a peruvian whiter. It was a very poor girl who became the woman of a bandido, a sort of peruvian Robin Hood. The book is heatbreaking but it is a master work of art.

Never heard of them. I´ll write that for my list to the bookstore. I will also check in my bookshelves if there´s a book I want to reread. Maybe some southamerican writes too. Like García Márquez or the early Mario Vargas Llosa.

I enjoyed "Wicked" but it's a fantasy not like the Da Vinci Code. What about a book about the place you're going to or, some of the books written by writers from there?

I don´t think that there are good arubian writers. I would have heard about them. As for books about Aruba, I prefer fiction when I´m sunbathing.

No, I don't read much books lately though. If you enjoy reading books, why not purchase one of those e - readers from amazon.com or from the Barnes and nobles web page. You might find a lot of books to read from their e - readers. You won't get bored at least right?

I'd be more inclined to want a fun book, but I guess I would also want one that would last the whole trip. I suggest getting some of the Janet Evanovich "Numbers" books, they are fun and funny.

Seeing as you said you like John Grisham, I would suggest my favourite which is The Rainmaker if you haven't read that one yet.

I´ll unbury Virginia Wolff. Good idea. I haven´t reread her for a long time. I took all Dan Browne for a vacation and it´s awesome the first time but I don´t think it will stand a second reading

Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett is a terrific one. If you like it, they also have a 3-disc movie of it, which you can rent when the weather gets cold again. Hope you have a terrific vacation!

I would highly recommend you any Robert Ludlum's works. They will make your nerves stand and you would not enjoy your vacation because they will take your concentration away from you. Try them and come back to this post and tell me. Enjoy your trip, happy reading.

Here are a few options I can suggest you.If you liked the da vinci code, then you can go for 'Angels and Demons' and 'The lost Symbol' both by the same author Dan Browne. You can co relate things with Da vinci code as the protagonist of these two novels too is Proff Robert Langdon. If you want to go for sme mushy love tales then go for 'Love Story' by Erich Sehgal and 'PS I Love You'.OOps I am sorry I forgot the authors novel. For some serious reading Go for-The white Tiger By Arvind Adiga,The alchemy of Desire by Tarun Tejpal,The Fountainhead and The Atlas Shrugged both by Ayan Rand. Hope the info above helped.

I read all of the Dan Browne books at another vacation. A friend of mine lent them all and I had plenty of time to read them. I read Love Story way back when and also saw the movie. I wrote down the other titles. I read something by Ayan Rand a long time ago but I don´t remember what it was. I´ll check those last ones. Thanks.

There is nothing like a good book to read! My favorite novel is the Notebook, by Nicholas Sparks. It's an inspiring love tale, you should check it out!

Hi! "If you liked the DaVinci Code" -- then read "Angels and Demons" also by Dan Brown. It's better! Also anything by James Patterson or Nelson Demille will keep you turning the pages! Have a nice vacation..........
