So... I am really missing my younger sis on days like this. She has went away to college and though she's been gone since last August... I feel like she left yesterday. I try to talk to her everyday or as often as I can being that she is a busy freshman in college. She is doing well, though. She made the dean's list her first semester and I am so proud of her. She is my best friend and I wish her well in everything she does. lol just wish she was here now so that I could prank her HAHA!

I have 2 younger sisters and 2 younger brothers. And my baby sister is my best friend. We have always been close. We can get on the phone and not talk.Comfortable silence. We both crochet/knit,so there are times we are working on a project and on the phone also. Not much talking, drives my husband crazy. He says if you are not gonna talk, why are you on the phone? We tell him that's our way,we talk but also do our projects too.Sometimes for a couple of hours or so.He says we are both crazy. He's an only child,so he doesn't understand sisters and brothers

It seems like you have a very beautiful relationship with your siblings. I have an older brother and two older sisters, however they are half siblings. I only share one sibling with my mom and that is my younger sister. We grew up together and did everything together, went everywhere together.. so her being so far away somehow seems like I've lost one of my best friends... but I try not to think of it that way. I love her so much and try to talk to her as much as I can. I feel you when you say that you can sit on the phone with her and not even have to say anything. It's crazy. It's a wonderful relationship to have. Because she can somehow read me.
Thanks for sharing!!

It's so refreshing to sit here and read you guy's comments. In this day in time... siblings aren't as close as they were in the past... but it is good to hear that some people still feel that way.

It is so refreshing to see such admiration for a sibling. Being so close to a sibling can be a reward in itself. I can see that you are very proud of her younger sister. This is a relationship you can truly treasure throughout your life. I am also very close to my youngest sibling and she is my sister. We talk to each other nearly every day. My life is blessed to have her in it and i am sure you feel the same way about your sister.

Yes.. it is a beautiful relationship that we have. Last week was her Spring break and she was home, she spent most if it with me!! I was soo happy. lol and now I am missing her again because she's gone back to school... but in May her semester will be ending and she'll be home again!!
Your relationship with your sister sounds a lot like ours. Isn't it great to have someone like that in your life??

My sister is my best friend too! I miss my sister often, as she now lives close to her college, which is unfortunately quite far from me. She is on her second or third year now. I have trouble keeping track, it just seems that its been far too long since we were the little children in my most cherished memories playing together all hours of the day. She visits during the holidays, but we don't talk as much as I would like. Sisters are a blessing, aren't they?
Congratulations to your sister on making deans list!

You feel the same way I do about my sister. Even though she's across the state and we're about 3-4 hours apart, I try to make it an objective to be in her life and to keep her active in mine and my daughter's. I love her very much and words cannot explain how proud I am of her and her achievements. I like to think I play a part in her success by loving her so much and being so supportive of her. I am sure that throughout our lives, our relationship will grow and become stronger than ever, unbreakable.
Thanks for commenting!! And thanks for the congrats, she appreciates it!!

Me and my sister are so close that we are bestfriends too. We do everything together and we have alot of things in our life in common that we share and can relate to which is what keeps up close
