Please please do not let your children play on the hospital floor. I see it all the time in the ER. There are so many germs that can be harmful to your child. People puke, miss the bedside commode or urinal. Lets not forget how long dried blood can still be dangerous.Hep C can survive up to 4 days. So please try to remember this when u r in an emergency room and your child is fidgety an u allow them to get down on the floor.

Hi sleepyredd. In my country, as far as I know, children are not allowed to enter the hospitals, let alone in the emergency room, except if the child is the one who is admitted. I agree with you that shspitals can be very dangerous in terms of germs and bacteria. I myself don't even wanna go or linger around inside hospitals. For me it's like the best place to get sick

I remember when we were young under a certain age children were not allowed on the hospital medical floor. I don't think that would be a bad idea to enforce. There just doesnt seem to be anyway to contain all germs I realize but children, elderly and people with health issues are at such a higher risk.

Hi friend...
You made me aware for future as i am unmarried now. Okay.
But here one thing is intolerable to me and that is please put off your shoe before entering in operation theatre... where as the doctors, nurses or wardboys are wearing all these. Why? do only patient and his relatives carry germs?
Just give your comments here. have a nice day.

Thanks for reminding us! One tends to forget all that. I think children should not go to hospitals if it can be helped, but it is done. I´ll tell my children about that as they have children of the age that they play on the floor.

Although hospital floors are scrubs with special disinfectants, you are right as through out the day the floor does get contaminated and exposed with so many germs. It does amaze me each time I have seen children crawling on the floor, but I suppose at the time the parents are not thinking about that.
