let me compare these three who were entitled as greatest soccer players ever
ronaldo,he's got the best condition that soccer players all need, gifted body figure--strong and also flexible, talented skill that is kind brazil soccer players'given,
and not to mention speed, and the lengendray career expriences kinda made him a special one.
maradona,he's got the best foot ever,he seemed like that he could finish any impossible action without limit with his left foot, and i wanna say the best forte he's got was his passing actually,in my opinion that was way better than his dibbling and shooting.
pele, based on few full-time matches i have seen him playing,i dont think he was that good as ronaldo and maradona, just lower a bit,of course he was the best during his times though.
so only considering their personal level which can mae their teams better, maradona's no.1,r9's no.2,pele's no.3,any arguments?

I think for just the impact that they have in the game, you first have Pele. Then you have Maradona and then the rest. Pele is the first real ambassador of football who represented the joy of the beautiful game. Maradona was the superstar that the world turned to in the 1980s with his mesmerizing runs. There have been other superstars of the game, the Beckenbauers, the Mullers, the Platinis, the Zizous who all have been greats, but their overall impact world over has been much less than these two. Ronaldo is no where in the same league as any of the above greats. He has hardly done anything for his country, of course, he has won everything at the club level, but absolutely nothing at the country level.
Cheers!
Ram

Same as NicoZieg. I only knew Pele and Maradona from the history and news. So I can't really judge them and even compare to Ronaldo.
As for Ronaldo, he was indeed a good player, as I said in your other topics. But to place him in no.1 of all the player in the world, I think I disagree with it.
I have my own preferences. :)

I haven't seen Maradona and Pelé played ever, so I can't tell anything about them.
But I can tell a lot about Ronaldo. In 1993 his nationalteam career began. In 1994 he participated in the world cup with Brazil. They reached the final and won. The same happened 4 years later, but there the lost. In 2002 they reached the final again and won. It was his greatest period on the nationalteam.
He has also played in a lot of clubs. Actually the biggest one in that time. He started in Cruzerio, then he moved to PSV Eindhoven, and since that he has been in Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter and Milan. He has scored so many goals, so it's almost unbelieveable.
