I forget the website I saw it on, but it showed me how stupid our credit-system makes us (don't get me wrong; I did a few stupid things back when I believed in credit too!) There were maybe nine or ten steps to this 'budget,' but you know what the first step was NOT? 'Seeing How Much Money is Available'! Stupid! We pay people to be this stupid?

We have for a long time been born to think that credit is the only way that people can have anything. The problem is to a certain extent that it is true. Another issue is the fact that credit is extended in part hoping that dowm payments and wasted payments can be swiped when a person can not meet the requirements. That has bit them in the tail so to speak. I have dabbled with credit here and there but it didn't take me long to realize. As far as the budgeting..yes..their talents could be better spent..lol.

You think they could at least 'start with money they're pretty-sure they're going to have'? (and I don't mean 'additional loans they're going to take out from the Federal Reserve)

The problem with a lot of people in this country, and not just the politicians, is that we have all these "wants" that we think we have to have, so we spend money we don't have and then we complain about how broke we are.

And then we have 'things that we DO have to have' and we only buy the most-expensive VERSION of them when the cheaper versions would usually be even-better-for-us!

Sweetie that is the plan to continue being in debt, now how on earth could they earn so high if we were all so well off. We absolutely pay the people to be this st@pid, that is what keeps us miserably happy to be where we are at. I say miserably happy as we still have high hopes, we are still poor and they are earning more to continue keeping us poor. Sounds like the plan is working.
