Is it bedtime yet?

Just to let you know, it is currently only about 6:45 p.m. and I'm tired! Its also Wednesday, that means its TRASH day. So, I get home from work and I really want to take a nap... But, those cat boxes aren't going to change themselves, and the roomie can't help today. (a reminder for those who missed it, she had surgery on Monday and is off heavy lifting for a couple of weeks) However, I can only lift a couple of boxes in a bag by myself, so I know its going to take a bit longer than normal, especially since she's asleep, that means I'm going to have to do everything, even the light stuff. So, I gather up what I need and make an "executive" decision. One trash can had some trash in it already, and I have 9 boxes to change, so that's the one that's going to get the odd box and everything else (sweeping up stuff and the like.) So, I do 4 boxes (that's 2 kitchen trash sized cans worth) and roll them outside and lift them into the trash can. I come back in, set one aside for my bedroom and pull out the stuff I need to finish off the trash. I empty the last 2 boxes and then de-lump the box I had put litter in to tide the cats over until the boxes were all done. I finish sweeping up the mess and put the now fresh litter boxes down and go do the odd one for the sick cats. I also go and sweep my room and then I can roll the cart out again with these next 2 cans of trash. Finally, I get the last ones done and collect all the rest of the household trash so I can take the dumper down to the street. Meanwhile, even tho the other roommate had taken the recycling down to the street, I had both my client's recycling and I also found another half dozen cans and stuff to go out as well (and another can that we produced with dinner.) I was done before 4, but then had to sit down and rest. The mail man came with a check in the mail so I decided I had enough (with the other roommate's rent check and a check for part of what I was owed from someone else) to make a run to the bank. Then - THEN I wanted to wash my car. I have to say, that dark blue really shows the dirt! and I guess I need to come up with a whisk broom to dust out dirt and cat litter from the car... I finally get home, and I've had my dinner, but I'm just beat! But I KNOW its too early to go to bed! Unless I want to be up at 2 a.m. So, I'll try to stay up till 10, but I'm not sure my brain is up to responding to discussions. You ever feel that way?

It is my trash day also. I am glad I don't have as much trash as you, I would never get it done. I hated changing two litter boxes, and you have so many more. I usually have to take a nap during the day, but I didn't get a chance today. So I am really tired also. Robin Williams is on Letterman tonight and I would like to see it, but I don't know if I can stay up that late. When I am tired, like now, I don't think straight, so I may not be making any sense.

my breakfasts are easy, a slice of bread with a smear of cream cheese, a slice of cheese, a piece of fruit and a little yogurt container Lunch is yank a sandwich out of freezer, grab a piece of fruit - I should be eating veggies, but I got tired of that...

you are making perfect sense... at least to THIS tired brain! The cats were happy. Today I had to make sandwiches for lunches. I fix a couple of loaves of bread at a time and freeze them. So much faster in the mornings. I am NOT a morning person!

I am not a morning person either! That is a good idea to make a bunch of sandwiches at once. When I used to work, I would cut up a bunch of grapefruit and take the seeds out. Then I would cover them up and have breakfast ready for the week.

Hi, ElicBxn. Yes, there are many times that I feel this way. When I have cleaned up and have been busy all day long, I tend to get very sleepy. I also lose most of my energy after cleaning up, and this causes me to drag my foot. I get really tired, I mean tired. You are just tired from all of the chores that you had to do while hope. I hope that you will be able to relax as you rest. Take care.

I'm tired again, but the fibro seems to keep me this way. I have the weekend to rest up, since I'm broke from having the car serviced!

From time to time I have felt like this, and it really ends up making for a long day especially if you have quite a few hrs to go. I know that the other night at work was one of those for me. First off I was not feeling good, and started to get a migraine headache so I took one of my migraine meds and was almost dozing on and off between calls at work. On the way home from work I was glad my husband was driving as I could not stay awake, and I went and slept for like almost 12 hrs. straight even in bed. I did wake up feeling a lot better and refreshed so sometimes your body just needs some extra sleep, and then everything will be alright.

When I was younger, I'd go along on 5 or 6 hours of sleep and then do a crash and burn 12 hour sleep. I can't seem to stay asleep that long now, so I try to get 7 or 8 hours every night, even then I wake up to roll over! And of course the cats have to see why I'm moving! I don't mind going to bed extra early on the weekends as much, but even then I'm more apt to stay awake later and then sleep in...

I got 4 good hours and another 4 not so good, but that's the way it is for me, the fibro makes it hard to sleep because of the pain and that just makes the pain worse!

i usually try to put no more than 3 boxes in a bag myself-not so much that it's hard to lift, but if i make it any heavier, the trash men actually whine about it. these guys are twice the size of me and it's a big waa.

well, it all goes out in the dumper, so the machine picks it up and its HEAVY, very heavy, but if I can roll it out to the street, those guys can roll it out to their big machine

I had a job, actually really liked what I was doing, but because I was the only one who lived near the office, they asked if I would be the one stuck with staying until 5 so the rest could try and beat some of the traffic through town. I got this phone call at 4:30 and just could NOT get the woman off the phone for an HOUR! I left a note for my boss about it. I couldn't not come on time the next morning, but I did it another day - because I couldn't leave early. At least at that building parking wasn't the B*tch it was other places!

I was tired before I got home! I wanted to take a nap then, but knew that if I didn't get on the litter boxes I would have trouble getting started later! Now, I've slept and while things hurt, back, neck, you know, things, at least I've done it. Tonight... I have to make up my sandwiches for lunches.

I get very sleepy most days between 5 & 6 0'clock, whether I've worked hard that day or not. My husband saw me yawning recently and remarked that he wished that I didn't have to wait up until 10 pm to take my last couple of p[ills for the day. He'd like for me to go to bed when he does, which is usually no later than 8 pm. If he's had a bum day, he'll go to bed even earlier. Once it was only 5 pm. I don't like going to bed early, unless I'm sick. I can't sleep all night if I go to bed too early. What can one do at 3:30 or 4 an? It throws my schedule off. I don't know why I get so sleepy during the evening news. Maybe boredom, or possibly my medication. When I sit down and do nothing, I get sleepy.

boy do I know that! There was a time, actually it still happens often enough, that if I lay down I'd go to sleep - at least if I stay up, I mostly sleep thru the night!

I was careful to not over load the trash cans, but 2 litter boxes is about at my upper end I can lift on my own. None the less, it is now 8 a.m. and I've slept the night, granted the last 4 hours weren't the best, but I was sleeping (better than the roomie actually.) The roomie went to start the crock pot with beef stew and broke a jar, so I'm in there sweeping up glass The good news... the garbage men have been so all that hard work yesterday has been "rewarded."

It could be because it is Wednesday for me, as although I slept okay last night I was beat when I woke up. I dragged all day at work today and now my fingers feel like thumbs. Wow that is a lot of work for you to get the trash out, wish you had some help.

I've had days like that I was so grumpy one day last week that Maggie wanted to know if something were wrong. I was - no, just some days you get up and before you even get out of bed, you know its going to be a BAD day! And before I had even gotten dressed, it was already on the down hill slide. Oh well, after I had been up a while, I started feeling more human and things stopped going wrong, but I hate it when a day starts like that!

I am reading your post when my clock is showing 9:25 AM. I am at work, just got here. But the true is that I feel so tired that I would like to have a bed near my office and take a little nap on it. It seams that nights are getting to small for me and I can't rest 100%.

You must be in Europe some place. I know what you mean. I couldn't have worked my last 3 years if I hadn't been able to sleep in my car during lunch. Granted it generally took 20 or more minutes to get to sleep so I only got about a 20 minute nap, but that helped a LOT! We went to bed a little after 10 and I got up just before 7:30, but the last 4 hours weren't the best sleeping I've done... oh well.
