Milk! I don't know why but it makes me really sleepy and sometimes also makes me go to the bathroom after a few hours. I think I'm lactose intolerant or whatever but i really don't care since I love drinking milk. Try it. Kids does this every night before going to bed so why not Adults like us try it. Maybe it'll still work for you. What about you guys? Any other sleeping remedy to share to us.

I have trouble sleeping simply because I like the early hours of the morning, I blame working shift work for some years... Milk doesn't really work for me, I have tried training my body by going to bed at the same time every day, relaxing before I go, and I certainly do not want to tale pills to make me sleep so I will be interested in this topic...

I've heard that warm milk is an age-old sleep remedy. I think it's not so much the milk as the warmth. Warmth is good for stressed out and tired bodies that need to relax. I've found that warm tea is just as effective as warm milk. Milk contains a chemical that helps one get tired, Tryptophan, but its levels really aren't enough to knock you out on their own. I wrote an article about temporary and long-term tips to fight insomnia on helium. You can read it here: http://www.helium.com/items/2093950-how-to-defeat-insomnia

Milk do work for me, but not always. Exercises is my best remedy to sleeping well, especially after an hour or so of vigourous exercises. That allows my body to relax and destress. I might not be tired about exercising, but at least the effects of it allows me to have a good night's sleep till the next day feeling fresh. It does not matter how i sleep, as how i wake up in the morning matters more to me than anything else.

You could take sleeping pills. If you don't want to you can take natural supplements. Hope you can get some sleep.
