In life, there are so many things that we value. Most of them we can't live without. Some would say the most valuable thing in their life would be their life partner or family. Some would even say their job matters most. Even a young child would say his/her favorite toy. No matter what it is (or what they are) or who they are, each one of us really values someone or something in life.
Well, as for me, I value my family the most. They are the reason why i'm giving my very best in my work right now. I want to give back to my parents and share what I have with my siblings. However, it just suddens me when I realized that there are times I tend to put my work as my top priority over my family. By the way, I'm working from another city away from my hometown. When I started my work, I used to call them at least twice a week. But now, when I get too busy in the office, I sometimes call them once a week the most. I can't deny the fact that there really are times when tasks becomes more important than the people for whom I do the tasks for due to deadlines and the like.
It's a good thing a friend of mine reminded me that my family is more important than my work. Spending some quality time communicating with my family somewhow bridges our gap from each other. And it's how I can show to them that they are important to me, more important than work, and that no matter how busy I get, they are always remembered.
How about you? Do you tend to make other priorities more important than those you value the most?

our values guide us on how to make decisions. when we say we value our family, then most of our decisions would be for the family's sake. however, there are instances that our values are compromised because of another value. for instance, when our family members commit a crime, our hearts are torn and decisions take some time. we d not want to have our family members imprisoned, but we do not want injustice to reign and continue. or a good job offer will make us far from our family, whether to take it or not is quite a difficult thing to do. for me, i value my family. and it ranks highest among those that i value in this world.

Hello there. What you just mentioned is so true. It's really difficult to take a good job and be away from my family. And our decisions are really guided by what we value. Thanks for sharing you thoughts. Have a great day and happy mylotting. :)
