Do we have to scare from Ireland, they have defeted England?

Hi Friends, I switch on my TV in the morning and was shocked to see the news "Ireland defeted England". I paid more attention to confirm the news and it was true. Today again Canada has booked Pakistan for 284 runs and Pakistan could not play complete 50 overs. These new teams are becoming threat to the champions. Should India be worried and take extra care while playing against Ireland in coming match?

Its just the media hype nothing else.I think India should concentrate more on match against SA than to worry about Ireland and Dutch. Many Irish cricketers play county cricket and they know English bowlers well.Over that Irish cricketers are weak against quality spin attack. They struggled against Bangladesh and Swann so there is no chance they can beat India. Also Indians are poor starters ,we all know they play poorly at the start of every series and tournament and i think they will become better as tournament progresses .India will beat Ireland easily like they won against Bangladesh.

Yeh, they were more worried about SA and did not think much about Ireland, Ireland gave India a tough competition. Thank You for sharing.

Hi samir, Prevention is better than cure. Like yesterday Ireland defeated England if the fall about India it would a whole jeopardy. India should not lose to Ireland but that does not mean that India take them for granted. Yesterday England seemed to be complacent and for that had to pay a huge penalty.

Prevention is always better than cure but our team does know this fact. India should have won against Ireland with better margin but it did not happen. Thank You for sharing.

Ajay, I feel scary over the clash between India and Australia. They are too strong in the bowling department. The only way to win this game would be to elect to bat first and score 400 or beyond. Whats say?

Hi Dear Ajay! It was a commendable job Ireland they did against their traditional rival team of England! They not have won the match but they have incorporated the fastest century by Kevin O'Brien as an additional spice into he victory! The new teams or underdogs teams can upset the tournament! I recall Indian team was an underdog in 1983 and no body even could imagine that India would go to even semi final round! But then we had the World Cup in 1983! History can repeat itself and we should be too surprised if any underdog comes and win the World Cup as almost every team is performing well on the ground and we are getting some upsets also! This uncertainty is the key factor in the game of cricket and we should always be prepared to face it! Let the best team win the match...and lets hope Dhoni would prepare his team to be the best in this World Cup Tournament! Thanks for the discussion!

Ajay, when Ireland lost five wickets, I lost interest and switched over to the movie channels, and they during the commercial break, I switched back, and I found that Ireland had scored more than 200 runs, and from them I watched the match till the end, and yes it was a sensational victory, and I believe that India, should definitely be careful of the Irish, the reason being Ireland are going to play in the venue, and their confidence will be very high.

I think India should really show respect to the Irish team. They were brilliant today. England failed completly in the bowling and department,it is the main problem for India also. But I think India will win that match

I think India has got problem in everything and not only in bowling, they had to struggle to play 50 overs and they did not complete 50 overs in most of the matches. Thank You for sharing.

Nothing to scare, Ajay. In fact, we should be thankful to Irish. Dhoni's brigade would not take them lightly now. We would win and we would definitely win.

I do not think that India needs to be afraid of the Irish. But they should not be complacent and take the Irish lightly. I think the Irish played good cricket, while the English played real bad cricket while fielding. They dropped as many as 5 catches including one of O Brien when he was on 50. They paid a heavy price for that. Cheers! Ram

They did not take them lightly but still did not do that great. They struggled to win against such a inexperienced team. Thank You for sharing.
