Smart Phone or Notebook computer,which would you choose?

Recently,I have been admitted to the university.My family was very happy,especially my parents.They said to me "Well,congratulations!You're a member of university.We wanted to award you with sth.What did you want?"I said"A smart phone and a notebook,that's OK!"Then,my mother said"you could only choose one of them.Thought about it." I began to hesitate... If the shoe were on the other foot,which one would you choose?(You have neither of them)Why?

If i were you i would choose the notebook. Since you are a University student now, you will be needing a notebook.

since you're a student,better go for notebook first.more useful for you in your paperworks..you can have the smartphone later...
