I always encounter some students that are drinking. They don't attend their classes just to hang out with their friends and classmates. Alcohol has a depressant effect. Alcohol has a lot of disadvantages. Those students who drink they didn't attend their lessons. They didn't know that their education is more important than drinking.

Hello sfcreyes!
What saddens me with this situation is that their parents are working hard just to give them good education but they never value it. I guess they know what their actions would result to but they never appreciate what their parents are doing for them. They'll just realize it when it's already late.
I have heard one of my relative said that if only he has attended school then maybe he has a better situation in life right now. He regretted it but it's too late.
It's not bad to enjoy and become merry but they must also know the limitations of it. I hope they'll realize this while there's still chance.
Welcome to myLot!

Too bad. I pity the parents of those students because I'm 100% sure that the parents of those students don't know that they're children are into drinking and that they are skipping classes just to have drinking spree with their friends.
They also don't realize that what they're doing is not for their own good. Yes, they may be having a grand time now, enjoying themselves but little do they know that in the future, when they're parents are gone or can no longer support them, that they will become bums and pesters to society. And that they will no longer have friends.

I know fellow students like that too, and it makes me sick. Don't think they've realized that they're wasting time and potential and a great opportunity to do something that's harmful and utterly useless in the long run. It makes me sad, and I've tried to talk sense into some of them... but I doubt I've talked to anything but deaf ears. All I can do is try to be as successful as I can personally and hope they understand I'm trying to set an example.

I was also with people like this back in college. I do not see their point of doing this. I guess that it is all about establishing an image to impress. I am not saying that all of them who engages to this types of activities has the same reason but I think that this is the most common reason they possess. I see it as a waste of time in money to be doing this sort of things.
People go to school to learn not to waste things.
