A puppy or a kitten?

I kind of want to adopt one of the two, but I don't know what fit me more. I really love dogs and cats- I think it's because I had both a dog and a cat when I was growing up. Right now I feel like I need a companion pet to be there beside me for the years to come... I'm a very messy person though, so I'm a bit afraid that letting a pet inside my apartment will have... well, bad consequences. What do you suggest I should do? should I get one of them right away, or should I practice my 'cleaning' skills and change my habits?
Thanks a lot in advance!

A pet, treated with kindness and love, will NOT care if you are untidy...and with a kitten you might find a bigger mess...LOL, but you must learn to be cautious about the things that you are messy with! There are many types of cleaning products, that must be kept out of the curiousity of kitten's environment! There is a huge warning about using "Swiffer" cleaning products on your floors..as cat's are always grooming themselves by licking their paws...from the floors to their paws...and a very, very sick cat. Cats tend to be less dependent, so if your life-style is a bit topsy-turvy, they would fare better...BUT, they still needs LOADS of attention and love Please enjoy...your new little "friend" in a fur coat!

Well, if you are willing to take the dog for a walk and don't care if he tears up anything, then a dog might be a good match. If you are willing to change the cat box, then a cat might be it.
but if you think you can't do one or the other, maybe you should just go down to the shelter and pet some critters.

Nothing is wrong when you choose either of the two, Cats are sweet and dogs are loyal. they are all good pets. You can train them where to poop by placing a litter box somewhere in your house. At least, pets can remove stress every time you play with them. It's your choice what to choose, coz for me, both are not a problem.

Hi,friend,
Don't worry,I think pets are very friendly,it will not cause bad consequence..But I think practice cleaning skill is very important,it can make your pet very comfortable, just like you take a shower,it can increase you and your pet's intiamcy~

I think first you should have a cleaning habbit first because owning a pet is not that easy, you need to clean them often as well like their ears and stuff, besides, you would want to provide asomewhat tudied place for the pet I would assume right? I think I would suggest you a little dog then since cat jumps up and down and grab things on the table and what not so alittle puppy mightsuit you.

I'm definitely going with puppies. Nothing against kittens, but I think doggies are much cuter and a lot more fun. I've had a lot of dogs in my day and I've enjoyed every single one of them.
