I love the Philippines. The climate is ideal for the young and old alike. It has the wet and dry season. March marks the start of summer and ends in April while the wet season is marked on the month of September. The Philippines has had always been famous with her beautiful beaches and islands. The locals are friendly. The main means of transportation would include the famous colorful jeepneys (public transportation), taxi cab, buses for the provinces, in some areas the kalesa (horse driven). Mangoes are sweet and are almost in season the whole year round, Bananas, Coconut to name a few of the fruits that are abundantly grown. Famous beaches from the north to south would include Puerto Gallera (in Mindoro), Boracay (in the Visayas), Cebu (specifically Mactan Island, in the Visayas), and alot of hot springs / cold springs around the country that are well visited by the tourist. Almost every province in the Philippines has its own delicacies like dried mangoes and dried fish in Cebu, Roasted peanuts in Iligan, Peanut Kisses and binagol in Bohol, pili nuts in Bicol are some of the delicacies you should try. The famous lechon or roasted pig is at its best here in Cebu. The Philippines is also famous for its furnitures that are exported in the international market. Pearls are also abundant specially in Mindanao. One can buy pearls that are newly harvested for only less than 10 USD. The best thing to do in the Philippines is to experience the "fiesta". In which one can eat from one house to another without paying. The homeowners would welcome guest who are strangers. What are your experiences in the Philippines? Was it good?

Cebu is one of the best place to grow old. The climate, the set-up is perfect. It is just job opportunities in the Philippines maybe good but the salary isn't good enough to buy you a descent home.
