Rediscovering Your Self

When you were younger you liked a lot of stuffs but as time passes by, you just don’t seem to like it anymore it’s like you’ve outgrown it. Other times, you are crazy about some things and then after a year or so you just don’t like them anymore. What I like about life is that you discover things for your self.
What I discovered recently:
That I like being simple.
That I like wearing flip flops.
That I love discovering new restaurants.
That food is my happiness.
That I love studying about finance & investments.
That I do need quiet time for my self.
How about you? What did you discover about your self lately?

I have discovered that despite the fact that there were friends of mine that I had when I was a teenager that I let go of, I should have never let them fall out of my life. What I mean is that I'm happier now that I've come back into contact with these people than I've been since the time that they fell out of my life ten years ago. I will never let people go again that are that important to my life and my livelyhood.

yes what we want and what we want to have changes as we matured. although i have a friend who still loves to buy colors and coloring books. he says it takes of his stress. coloring book that was meant for kids is what he buys. i tried it once and yes i agree that it really releases stress. its like going back to being a child even for a few minutes. now that i am a father and my son is 5 years old already there are a lot of things i want to have because i want to give it to my wife and son. what i want no longer comes first.

I think as you age you just get tired of things. There are some things that I still like and some things that I am just not interested in anymore. When you get older, your more accepting of your body. When I was younger, I always thought I was heavy and I hated my legs. Everyone told me I wasn't overweight, but I felt like it. Now when I see pictures of my younger self, I don't know how I could have thought that. I was in much better shape than I am now. The difference is now, I don't really care!

I guess people change and their perspective with life also changes. In my case, I used to think highly of buying new things every time I get enough money on my hand. I was impulsive when shopping but now, I have tried to think of something very carefully first before buying them. I used to end up buying things that seemed to look good at first and ended up realizing that they actually don't fit or looked good on me. I try to be simple and be contented with my life because if I continue to be impulsive with every thing, I might end up getting broke one day. I have also learned that saving a few money or so would really boost my self fulfillment especially with all the expenditures I have at the moment. Rediscovering yourself and what you want is a lifetime process and satisfying things you desire is a lifetime commitment of hard work and endless persistence. Just keep doing it.

Well, i guess physically i like myself now, because before i was so skinny.
What i haven't outgrown though, is my liking of fried chicken. Though, now i like it spicy, before of course my palate haven't developed that yet so i don't like it spicy.
So far, there's no other changes in myself now except that i have grown some bit of crow's feet at my eye area.

We never had a full length mirror in the house, so when I looked into our smaller mirror (planned to pluck my eyebrows), I discovered that my face has matured a lot when I became a mom. Yes, I am getting older w/ lots of gray hairs! But I think that is a good thing.
I like it plain and simple too, not wearing lots of accessories anymore. But I do think that I should somehow start to maintain myself, like going on a diet for starters.
