Will we ever have an end to the wars and fighting?

So many times we hear so often on the news that there is a war or fighting has broken out somewhere. Different countries get involved and sometimes it can take ages to end. Will we ever have peace on earth? i seriously doubt it, this really is a shame. War and figghting leads us to losing loved ones, we ourselves have no certainty to survive, what do we gain? nothing at all. What do we lose? Way way way too many innocent peoples lives. It is a disgrace the way our world is, a shame things just can't be discussed and dealt with rather than violence having to take place.

I must answer NO,there will never be world peace.
Not all,but most wars are over religion, who can say which one is right?,no one, each and every one believes they are the only one that is right.
If we all really wanted real peace, each religion that is not a part or other ones,( Catholics/Anglicans and such)and the (Islamics/Muslims)must stay in their own part of the world.
Of course, power and greed and land are a close second.

Hi craigy.
Yes,it would be nice if kids were left out of it,but I am afraid that they are being used to kill as most try not to hurt them.
Yes,religion is only a part of the problem, race is another biggy, and as you say,it is a free world, not really.
interacial breading is going to destroy more than one race, and is already destroying many cultures.
Just for the record craigy,I spent three years in Viet Nam,and as for innocence,I found very little there.
And as for Classycat,I am not against you having your religious beliefs,as I at one time was a protestant ,but war kind of takes that out of some of us.
I am not anti-religious,I am just not like I was.
Have a great night.

Yes, wars will cease one day - - when all Bible prophecy has been fulfilled, and the "Prince of Peace" returns to govern in righteousness.
The Bible has precicted wars and rumors of war, in the New Testament, by Jesus.
There is yet to be a great war against Israel according to the 38th and 39th chapters of Ezekiel. There are also some mentions in the Psalms of this.
All nations will eventually pick sides and those that don't may not have that option, due to either being destroyed ahead of this war, or being in such a state where it cannot for one reason or another.
Israel will never be destroyed, because the Bible says that God Himself will come on the scene at that time, and there will be multitudes that will die for what they believe is "their" cause.
There are many various prophecies that are giving a warning so that we may know that the time is at hand.
This huge uprising in the middle east is not just happenstance. All is moving in the direction God said it would, and multitudes of Old Testament prophecies have already been fulfilled, and some are yet to be fulfilled - - perhaps even in our lifetime.

Peace on earth would mean a tolerance level that has never been known. It would mean neighbors of very different religious beliefs and cultures. It would mean a unity of governments. It would mean a whole new world order. The unfortunate reality is there are people that are not willing to meet in the middle and accept one another and that is the cause of most wars. I do hope that one day we are able to overcome the differences in the world. Your right about the innocent lives lost.

As stated previously: "peace 'will' come, when the Prince of Peace comes again. There is no religion or nation or leader that can produce peace in the world, except the afore mentioned one. 'Nuff said.

It's always easier to say nuff said..the prince of peace will take care of it. The thing is that people do have the power to change things. I have the power to be tolerent and respectful. I have the power to do good things or bad. I have the power to love or hate. The changes start within us. I'm thinking the prince of peace might want it that way too.

JenInTN, it would mean all that, your right. I agree that there is middle ground but many people don't want to budge, they are to stuck in their ways and so the ineviable happens and that is fighting. Life would be more easier if each side gave in a little. It isn't difficult to try and talk sense, a shame the people who want to fight have no sense. Life would be a better place without the wars, different cultures could mix well without any problems, unfortunately though there are too many people who like to create problems and make things bigger than they are. Too many people, women, men and children all suffer, how is that right? People are caught up in wars that they don't even want and so suffer by being killed themselves or by losing people close to them. Thankyou so much for your response.
ClassyCat, let us hope that you are right, but by the looks of it i guess it will be a long time off. People, that includes all religions, nations, leaders etc, they can create peace, by not creating war. It takes them to start a war, so if they did not do this then we would have peace.

We should never forget that wars are not created by itself but it is we human beings who are the caused to it so we must first assume our responsibilities and then decide to act on this while being united to each other. Some countries do not wish to combat this problem while being united so the wars are going on and on. Innocent people are dying and still wars are ongoing. If human beings were really human then while seeing an innocent child dying in front of their eyes they should never continue war ever again but unfortunately they are just called human being while they are not.

I agree that a war cannot be created by itself but by us humans who intend to create a war. There are some countries that are unable to fight back, some don't really have the resources to fight back. Many many innocent people do die as a result of this. I agree with you that while seeing an innocent child, or really anyone else that is innocent this should show that war is wrong, the ones that want war or want to fight just do behave in a human way at all, to allow anyone innocent to die just isn't right. Thankyou so much for your response.

Unfortunately, I really don't think that we will ever have the opportunity to live on earth where there is peace everywhere. The reason that I believe that to be the case is because of the fact that there are so many different sets of beliefs throughout the world. There are those people that hate Christians and those people that hate Muslims, Jewish people, etc. This hate that has been bred in people is the reason that so many conflicts are faced.

There is more greed and a desire to control, within the heart and soul of many world leaders, and certainly dictators. They do not know "the way" for and of obtaining true peace, and are not interested in it. It is because of this that wars have not ceased. But the time is coming when
God Himself will bring an end to it all, and we will then have peace, just as He promised in His word to all who believe.
Of course, not believing and or embracing His promises, is a choice we will all have to make.
Have a great week, and peace be with you all.

I guess that asking for worldwide peace would be all miracles and dreams combined. It is something that may never happen and this itself could bring the end of the world, people are way too busy fighting and wanting more than they have and causing problems. I agree there are an absolute load of beliefs and for some of these there are problems between different sets of people. We may not all get on buit why must wars or fighting have to break out where innocent people die? it is so unfair. I guess there is conflict on a daily basis, people go looking for trouble and often get it, what an awful place this world is. Thankyou so much for your response.

Countries have been fighting wars with each other since the beginning of time. the thoughts of peace through out the world would truly be a blessing and a miracle. Countries have been fighting for so long that i am not so sure they would recognize peace if it was achieved.

I agree that since time began different forms of wars do take place. I agree that the thought of worldwide peace truly would be a blessing, something many would want and do hope for, but as you state, for it to happen it would be a miracle, but that just shows that w will possibly never see the end of trouble, fighting will always break out and so world peace is just a dream that will possibly never become a reality. Too many people now would not change the way they are, they want to cause problems, they want to stir up trouble, they are willing to die for their country, but they are also risking innocent peoples lives which is wrong. Thankyou so much for your response.

what i dont understand is why other countries get involved. if a country is having problems then they should sort it out themselves and not have about 2 or 3 armies from other countries going and making it alot worse. the only people that should be dying are the ones causing the trouble, not the people going because they are being told to.

I agree that some countries can stick there noses in when they aren't wanted. However i do think we can't always sit back and let some countries cause problems for other countries, especially when some countries can't really defend themselves, why should the innocent suffer? i agree that the ones that should suffer are the ones that start the trouble, it seems to many countries want too much power and that goes to their heads where they aren't really thinking properly. thankyou so much for your response.

If only we could. If only we could. I think that the wars will end when all life everywhere is going to end. There is really no such thing as universal peace. It might be a rather jaded stance to take in the world, but it is rather a realistic one. There are a lot of times where there are periods of calm and we should embrace those.
Still it is the nature of humanity. Well really the nature of everything. Conflict is a huge part of nature. As much as I'd like to have all of the killing, the hatred, and the destruction stop, it is hard to escape. There will always be someone offending someone and then someone reacting violently. Then everyone else jumping in and then a mess. It is just one of those things that will be around, until the inevitable time where we all up blowing ourselves up. Man that's a depressing thought, isn't it?

I agree, we will never really see the end of the wars and figting until there is no more human life left. It is a shame that all we hear about is all the trouble, about time we heard of more positive things in the media. I agree that conflict is part of life, we will all and we do often disagree with many people, but some people can go too far and take lengthy steps to create problems for the others, it is a shame but it is a fact of life. Your right that from one person things do escalate to others that are close to them, soon it is so many more, then more, then more and then it is like a war, we will end up blowing ourselves up, it certainly is a depressing thought but a fact of life really. Thankyou so much for your response.
