For people living within the United States, did you file your tax return yet? And if you already did, do you get your refund yet? I waited for three weeks, but I still haven't gotten my refund yet. My co - workers who file the tax - return with me about the same time, they all got their money back. While I am lag behind. I just wonder if my tax is file with my business, would it be take a bit longer than other people who simply file individually with their income? Because I check on IRS.gov, the hyperlink to "where my refund", type in all my information, they haven't gotten it. So, I am just curious here.

My understanding with the refund check release is that they do so by last names, so unless you are seeing a problem then maybe they have not reached your last name letter. Depending on when you filed it the hyperlink should say pending and if you allowed enough time then it at least should say that. If you have sent to them I would guess 4 or more weeks ago and it is not listed in the site then you should call or maybe it will say on the site as to what instructions or procedures to follow. I have not filed yet because I was waiting on my We but hooray it came in the mail yesterday so I will be filing this week. Good luck with your refund check.

I don't know, and I heard some people say it might be a bit longer for people who also file their tax with business. So, I might wait a bit. Otherwise, should I file it all over again?

I remember this is a time period that you have to wait to find out if they even have it. Also you do not want to re-file if they have it already and not listed on the site. Best to check the time period they say to await then call and find out if they do have or not. I too am going to do like The_Lamb and file electronically because last year I received mine in 3 weeks in my checking account. Maybe if they do not have you might want to do that way too.

That really troubles me though. I have called their 1 - 800 number, but usually a automated machine answered it. Then I punch in my information, then they told me maybe I enter it incorrectly, no info available? I had no idea. I ask my friend, he said he already file that for me though.

There are a lot of different things that can cause it to take longer. Did you mail or e-file? Mailing the return adds a LOT of time to the process. Are you getting your refund as a direct deposit or a paper check? Paper Checks also take a lot longer.
This year, I got my refund pretty quickly. That made me happy!! We e-filed and got direct deposit.
A couple of years ago, they wouldnt accept my e-file, so I mailed in my tax return. But I forgot to include my copies of my W-2s!!! I realized it after several weeks. Only a day or 2 later, I got it back in the mail saying they needed my W-2s. I noticed they had stamped it with a date. Only they did it twice. The first date was a couple of weeks before the second date!!! I think sometimes they put the returns in piles and it takes them a while to go through the pile!!
I hope you have already gotten your money back. Waiting for that check is the worst part!

I have already received my refund! It took forever, because the IRS is doing something different this year. It took me two whole weeks to get my refund. H&R Block wasn't doing the Rapid Refund this year. It was all in the hands of the IRS. It will come, but patience is the key.

Yes I filed mine online myself and I received my refund within 14 days of filing. How did you file? Did you file online or did you go with a paper refund? If you filed online with one of the loan companies such as H & R Block, TaxAct etc they will let you know that your filing has been accepted. You need to be sure that yours has been accepted. Call the 1-800 #.

I haven't got mine back yet either. I itemized and the people that did that couldn't send theirs in until later. The woman that does my taxes told me mine would be later. I did my son's online through a free service and his came yesturday. I am thinking the woman said that they could not be turned in until Feb.15 if they were itemized. That would put me at two weeks now. I am thinking a couple of weeks more for me to get mine.

I haven't yet completed mine but I will next week and after reading your discussion and all the responses it is best I do mine electronically. The IRS people will be up to their ears with bombards of phone calls and support emails so I cannot risk having mine lost.
I do hope y9ou can figure yours out as the money is so needed and they take forever to finish reviewing them.
Good luck friend.
