"It's not about partisanship or protests, but pride.
It is time to take out the trash... literally. In true Flash Mob fashion, on Sunday (March 6) at exactly 1300 hours (1:00 pm for you non-military types) we will do an extensive police call (pick up the trash) around the capitol square. Regardless of the state the grounds are in, we will do this as both a literal and symbolic way to show our respect for our home.
TEA Partiers know how this is done. It is time to show OUR pride for OUR state OUR way and be the example.
Even if you cannot attend, please share this and invite all of your sane friends who share our love of Wisconsin.
No signs, no screaming, just a necessary cleaning."

I'm going to do what I can to get there to help clean up. I hope other Wisconsinites here at MyLot are willing to do the same. Hope to see you there!

Applause! Applause! This is a great thing for Wisconsin citizens to do. Unfortunately, I doubt the media will cover it or give credit where credit is due. Thank you Wisconsin patriots for doing the right thing and leading by example.

True, I'm not expecting much from the incompetent press.. but I'm sure there will be plenty of pic and video from participants.

hi para ted just got back here at Gold Crest from a long stay in a rehab
hospital. I am not a Wisconsin resident but I like the sound of what
you are saying and applaud people who will be there to clean up the
mess. I see that little was accomplished and hope this will end now. I
think each state needs to do what I have always attempted to do, live
within my budget and never spend money I do not have then nobody
would be in such financial trouble.

Oh, it's far from over. The next round of protests will be over the budget cuts and reduction of money from the state to the cities, counties and school districts.
Most people call for less spending, but then complain when it actually happens.
You're right, we can't go borrowing money to cover day to day costs, neither should the government.

Be safe.
Doing something respectful might actually make you the enemy in some people's eyes. So watch out for kicks and bring a few of those trash poles with the pointed tips!

I hope that some of the people who helped to make the mess are there to help pick it up. I think the symbolism says a lot. I hope you have a large turnout!
