I'm a new fan of the author Jeffery Deaver. The first book I read written by him was The Devil's Teardrop. I loved it but his name didn't really stayed in my mind but when I read a second book which is Sleeping Doll by him, too and it was really good. I'm recommending him. Which authors do you love and how many books have you read written by them?

I love reading John Saul's work. I am really into horror books. Is "The Devil's Teardrop" a horror book? It does sound interesting?

Haven't read his works yet. Devil's teardrop isn't a horror book, it's about a police officer looking for one ceratin serial killer on the loose. What I like about this kind of books because in a general summary, they all catch this suspect/ a psycho of some sort who loves to kill but inside the book, they all differ on how to handle and solve the problem and how to catch the suspect just in the nick of time. Do you also like this kind of book? Or you prefer other genres?

Reading books and browsing through periodicals is my favorite way of relaxation over the weekends. I used to read a lot of books before, but these days mostly magazines. As I recall, I very much liked reading books by Leo Tolstoy, excellent stories, well written.

I find it hard to pick favorite authors. The last time I picked a favorite author was in middle school, and it was Frank Peretti. He wrote lots of supernatural thrillers/mysteries. I'd read everything by him (and since he hasn't come out with anything new since, I've still read everything by him). I've sort of shifted gears on my favorite genre though... these days I'm way more into high fantasy. But I haven't picked a favorite author from that genre. Some of the ones that I love are Peter S. Beagle, Tolkien (naturally), C.S. Lewis, Stephen Lawhead, Terry Brooks, Karen Hancock, Bryan Davis, Wayne Thomas Batson, Donita K. Paul, Cinda Williams Chima, and Bruce Coville. Can't say I've read EVERYTHING by all of them though.

I love to read and I try to read a lot of books whenever I have the time. I have 3 favorite authors who have different styles of writing. The first one is Laurell K. Hamilton. She's one of the more established name in the paranormal genre. In my opinion, all those vampire books were just copycats of most of her work. I also like Susan Elizabeth Phillips. I don't really read a lot of romance novels, but anything she's written is an exception to that rule. She's very gifted and her stories are pretty solid. And last but not the least, I love Anthony Bourdain. His writing style is raw and honest and strikes a chord. I love the way he describes certain experiences and how his passion surfaces whenever he's talking about things or food or places that he love.
