is it true that whatever u doodle, it reflects who u are? way back in college (or even now, in the office) whenever i'm bored & in class listening to a professor or instructor, i doodle my name or draw hearts. i wonder what it says about me. i just like to doodle my name in any way i can imagine, mostly in blocked shapes. i read about how doodlings reflect ur thinking like when we draw shapes, faces etc.. i wonder what mine is like :)

I don't doodle that much these days. I just let my mind wander and play with my pen. In the past, I used to draw people (very badly, mostly caricatures). I wonder if that means I'm a social person. I used to draw hearts as well, and little devils with horns and tail. I don't think I want to know what that means.

Any time when I am supremely bored no matter the circumstances, whether it be in school, work, home, or wherever, I tend to bored. I know that there are many times where I am sitting at the computer, waiting for something to download and subconsciously I am scrawling out something on the side of a slip of paper that just happens to be on the side of my desk. Often times, it is complete just randomness. Yet, there is something about the random nature of doodling that does in fact make a lot of sense when one does think about it. So really it does depend on my thought process. Often times, I doodle just for the sake of giving me something to do but there could be some deeper method to my madness during these times. Just little drawings and what not. Not really the most complex of things...well otherwise they would not be doodles if they were too complex.

Never did! When I was in class and I was feeling bored, I was daydreaming about anything out of this world. I happen to have a wild imagination, I was never really the doodler type. If I was, I probably would doodle monsters or things I have seen on the syfy channel.

In college (my current state in life), I usually draw what I think the characters in stories I'm working on look like. I also draw trees and clouds. When all else fails, I try to draw the classroom, or caricatures of my classmates and teachers. For the last one, I try to draw something interesting happening, preferably, a situation I'd rather be in. XD

I haven't heard about that study.. Maybe I should start researching on it. hehehe. I doodle a lot and all of my training materials are filled with doodles of my name, of abstract line and everything that I can think of in between. I get bored easily so when I do I tend to doodle or to color my training materials.. Hahaha!

Yeah I kinda believe that too. Me I usually write what I think, mostly how my day is and what would be my plans after class. Even song lyrics. Sometimes I'll write the same line of a song over and over again. I'm pretty much writing about anything.. not really doodling, 'cause I always knew that I'm bad at drawing even the simple things. Haha. Good day!

Hi jpaxxx! Welcome to Mylot! When I was in college and the instructor is boring, I tried writing cursive letters using my left hand and try to write the names of what I like my future children's name would be. Although sadly, I didn't get the chance to use them. (maybe change of preference). But I did learn to write left-handed although a bit shaky. It somehow prevented me from dropping my eye to sleep while in class.

When I was still in college I used to write any word that comes to mind whenever I felt bored inside the class. There are times I write program codes especially when we have some projects on it. Usually my mind just wander off but most of the time I just fell asleep.

I doodle patterns and abstract stuff mostly. Sometimes also lyrics. I like the idea of your doodles reflecting something about you, I never really thought of it that way. It's always interesting to see what other people doodle.

I am still a college student, and I always-- yeah ALWAYS do doodling. Mainly because I love drawing. ;) I draw cartoon characters like Spongebob, Patrick, also some Anime or those Japanese cartoon characters. ;) I also draw my name in every creative way I can and also inventing new font types ;) Sometimes I write lines from songs, and sometimes I compose poems. ;) Most of the times, I write words which fits my mood, or my day, or just any word that comes to my head. :D

When I was in college, I used to write poems whenever I get bored with my instructor. Sometimes, I draw trees and mountains with sun and clouds. I think that's all I can draw so they are the ones I always draw. LOL Now, at work, I use to doodle my name in different styles. And my drawing skills was upgraded. I can now draw some ugly cartoon characters. =)
