How to deal with exam stress?

I usually study all day every day up until the day or two days before the actual exam. I usually don't study at all on the day before, because I want to get a little quiet and let things settle in my head before the exam. But the days up until I study almost all the time, which leads to a little stress sometimes. I would like to know if anyone here has some ideas on how to deal with exam stress?

The days leading up to an exam is the worst in terms of stress for a student. What helps for me is when I have studied as much as I can then I stop and watch some movies to reward myself. AT my college library, the students can check out videos as well as books so I would check out a couple of movies to watch after I am finished with studying. Good luck with your exams.

I tend to take a lot of notes throughout the class. That way, I am studying bit by bit as the class really goes on. It does not work for everyone but it does work for me. I find that I might have to look over things just a little bit here and a little bit there to refresh my memory. I always did hate the traditional way of studying, torturing your brain before the exam. I always forgot so much.
Barring that, break things up into small manageable sections. Take a break here and there. Don't really study too close, as if you try and study the night before you take the exam, your sleep will be restless and that is not a really good thing for taking an exam. Without sleep, you can't focus and thus you will not do that well. Trust me, I learned that lesson the hard way many, many, years ago.

Thank you. Actually I do take a lot of notes in class too, and I've also found that this helps alot. The problem is though, that I keep re-reading it over and over again because I wanna do perfect on the exam. Usually the exams go well, but it also takes it's toll stresswise

Thanks for the good ideas. Sometimes I have a hard time going from studying to reading a book though. Because it's almost the same hehe, so it doesn't relieve my stress as much as I would want it to. Just leaning back and listening to som enice music sounds like a good idea though :)
