Hi everyone...
I never expected that i have to suffer a lot for it. I start my journey to my job place every morning almost at 6am. yesterday, i rode my bike to station to reach my train... Train runs 100kms to my job place. At the midst of the road while i was driving my bike... a bird came out from nearest bush and hit on my bike... i break downed... Gave a look behind... the bird was writhing... i picked him and carried on a plastic bag to station.... Usually i park my bike on a family near station, so i handed over that bird to the owner of that family to take care him for the day and gave 100INR for treatment saying that i am about to treat him after reaching my town, till then you have to feed him and here is the amount for the cost... I thought his legs are broken.... all the day i was tensed due to it...( i am member of an organization who takes care of birds, mammals and reptiles along with floras)... In the evening, when i reached the station and asked for that bird... oh... he is okay by the treatment of that man... then i let him to be free from where i picked him.... i kissed him and i am really happy that he is fine and had no injuries.... here is a picture of that bird added.. but its uploaded from net as i had no chance to click him in real... Have you ever rescued a bird? I love birds... Please share....
NB... remind it, i am bird lover aqnd i love them who take care of birds.

Well, we had birds as pets before. They were parrots and we had two pairs of them.
But then they flew away. funny though ;)
And know what, I think what you have done is great!
But I think it is normal for you to rescue birds specially when you are a member of some kind of organization promoting protection against harm of animals, and also, you are the one responsible for it mainly. :P
but still, I guess you had done your job. And it's a job well done. ;)
By the way, I never rescued a bird but mostly kittens ;)

I can count you as one of my friends then ;)
and you know what, I guess what you are doing is really good, rescuing birds and all that stuff.
But it would be better if those expense should just go to your fellow being who are suffering from poverty you know. ;)
Well, it's just my opinion, and I hope you would accept this as an opinion from a friend. ;)

I'm so glad your bird survived and you let it go where it belongs!
Last winter a bird came down my chimney and my dog Cookie got it. I rescued it quickly from her but it was badly hurt. I put it in a box with a soft towel and covered it up so it would not be frightened as there was no hope for it and I wanted it to be as comfortable as possible. It spent its last few moments in a warm place which I hope was comforting to it.
I love birds. I feed them in the winter. My tree outside has suet, seed and corn hanging on it and the birds are very happy.

Hi. shibham. I am sorry that you had a bad morning, but a good evening. I have never rescued a bird before. I am sure that this was a wonderful feeling for you to rescue a bird that is in need. It is also good to know that the bird is free from any hurt or injuries. It is a blessing that this bird was rescued by you and not by someone that has no heart.

I have never rescued a bird, I have never had an accident involving a bird either. In the event that I did knock into a bird, I doubt I would stop and pick it up as I have no experience with animals, don't really care for them and they could be carrying disease.

You catch aids through bodily fluids such as blood or seamen and I have no intention of touching those bodily fluids of people with AIDs.

hello dear bhai,
Nice of you really :)
I never had same experience like this, but i love birds.
Before we have birds as pet,but my son let those birds go when he left the door open (Cage bird) while feeding.
Anyway,it's fine..let those birds free.
And i don't want to see birds in a cage either,it's better to watched those creatures fly freely and sings melody
hugs for my dear brother

Hi didi...
This bird is very rare... Again i want to say you that bird species are reducing now a days for several conditions...
The bird that i have mentioned is ate by humans ( uncivilized sure)... and if i let him leave as he were after that accident, then definitely.... he would no more on earth... i am so conscious about birds. I have a huge collection of birds picture from my locality. Do you wish to receive? let me know.
Take care didi.

So nice of you to have cared for that bird, specially when you yourself was rushing to office. Yes, I’ve taken care of birds too in my childhood. Once I remember a sparrow landed on our terrace with some injury and could not fly (that’s why we could catch it). We quickly got a shoe box, made some holes in it, put some cottonwool as bedding and put the bird there. We fed it and cared for it how well we could, and eventually the bird was strong enough to fly away on its own.

Yes, I have rescued birds before. The first was when I was a teenager. I found a baby bird in our back yard. It was shivering and looked sick. I did not see the mother bird anywhere nearby so I brought the bird in our house. I constructed a warm, comfortable "bed" for it and fed it some mash. The next day, it seemed much better. Within a week, it was totally well so I let it go. I'm not sure but there was a bird that looked exactly like the one I rescued who used to fly to my window and hang on the screen and sing to me. He did this many times until, one day, he stopped coming by. I do think that was "my" bird who was saying hi to me, maybe thanking me. It made me feel very good.
Once, when I was at work, my boss asked me to come out back where our parking lot was. I went out to find a pigeon on the ground, lying on his back and flapping his wings. My boss said he thought the bird had a broken wing or leg and, since I knew all about birds, he wanted to see if I could do anything to help the bird.
I pulled it's wings against it's body and turned it over to see if it could stand up or if it had a broken leg. It stood up just fine so I backed away to see if it was able to fly on it's own. It was and did. That again made me feel very good to help the bird. It was probably disoriented from flying into something and, as soon as I turned it over so it was standing on it's feet, it regained it's orientation and was able to fly.
I am like you in that I love birds and will help any that need the help I can give. I do not belong to any organization but do my best to help any wildlife.

You certainly did a good job, while in service once i faced some thing similar, after taking a class i went to my room, there i found a little bird on my table glass, it was bleeding, guess it was hit by the ceiling fan, i gave it some water and asked one of the peons to take it to the vet hospital that was 3 kms away, asked my driver to take him by car, i was happy the bird could be saved.
Thanks for sharing
Cheers.
God bless you, have a nice day ahead.

Wow how admirable of you. I have never had the opportunity or fortune of rescuing a bird. I live in a city and the birds are so high up in the sky that somehow I can't imagine many coming down for too long. I have approached some mall areas here at times birds do come down and walk but at first sight of a human they flee so fast it would be impossible for anyone to catch them.
If I did see one in need of help, I would be willing but I would nurture it back to health and set it free. I do not have any pets at home because my apartment is so small that I prefer dogs to be able to run free. I am all for freedom and do not like confinement.

I love almost all kinds of animals and i remember one incident that i had with a bird which is actually an owl. It was during the late 90s when i experienced this but i treasured it until now. My mom's cousin used to work at my dad's company. One day he came home with an owl and he kept him tied up in a stock room. I felt pity for that owl but i was too scared of my mom's cousin to set the owl free. I knew then that the owl needed to be free. The next day I stood under the tree in our house and waited for a falling leaf to make a wish. Alas the leaves begun to fall and i caught one and made one wish: I wished for the owl's freedom.
Believe it or not, the next day my mom's cousin came looking for that owl because it had escaped!

What toni? What an coincident.
Once, we caught some persons with different wild birds on cages. We set all the birds free and handed over all of them to police. Next one, some small guys were targeting birds through catapult on my campus. I took a stick and chase them as long as i can. One was caught and please dont mind i punished him and recovered a nightingale from him. After treatment he was okay to fly. Take care and thanks for your kind heart for animals.
