Alien in your neighbourhood?

If in a late night a space craft lands in your neighbourhood and an alien comes down from it, how are you going to react? Are you going to greet it or leave the place at once to see what happens next and then to take a decision for further action?

It's funny. I was just thinking about this very question. Although it is probably a natural, human reaction, it infuriates me when people immediately assume that a space alien is a monster! Something out to destroy us. If they wanted to destroy us, they wiuld do it from the air, they wouldn't land. They want to explore our world, just like we want to explore theirs. As for my reaction. I am afraid to say hello to my next door neighbor. But, I would LOVE to meet a creature from outer space. Of course I would be frightened. But my intense curiosity would far outweigh my fear. I would move as close as I could safely get and watch them to learn whatever I could about them. As for "doing" anything, that is up to the authorities to decide.

I think your right there! Im sure they would have technology to have attacked us already like in the scary movies which i what i worry about if it all goes bad. I think the government knows of alot of things they will never share with the public. It would be a scary moment but i dont think an alien would necessarily wan to harm you and more be exploring lol

It may be for an exploration but you must admit that if their existence is a reality and they succeed to land on this plant they must be more advanced in science and technology than we and so they will be the masters. If they take us as friends it is OK but if they treat us as enemies, it will be a matter of concern to us.

I'm going to greet them with open arms. I'm going to get them to show me around their ship. I'm the one who needs watching. I'm going to have some flying saucer parts in my pockets when I leave.

I suppose I would assume that it was one of the rescue helicopters going to the hospital, so at first I probably wouldn't do anything :-) No sensible alien would land here though. It's too many houses so its spaceship would get ruined. There's not really anyone important here to threaten, so the "take me to your leaders" would take a lot of time. And at the moment it's quite icy so it would probably not be able to stand on it's feet and it would look really stupid :-)

Then I let the trolls deal with them! This is Norway. There's lots of trolls around ;-) I'm sure the trolls eat aliens, tasty, crunchy aliens ;-)

It may be so that no sensible alien would land here but if the alien is not sensible enough, then?

The way that some people act today, are the aliens not already among us. Seriously, I think more than likely we (Alien and I) would both be very wary. I think I would keep my distance and If I had been spotted by the Alien wait for him to make the first move. If, however, it hadn't notice me I would stay out of sight and observe. Who knows whether it would be a friend or foe!

well i guess, i would wait and watch what will happen next, if i am sure they are real alien, i will grab my camcorder, and have it recorded what ever they are doing, and upload it in youtube, clever isn't it?

How can people believe they know so much about aliens and they say that they are right when they can only speculate like everyone else as we will never have the solid answers proven as its always covered up. I guess that is the answer. but where do you source your information mantis? from somewhere on the internet? I know there are peole right into it, but i am interested. Aliens grab my attention.

and you may see how the alien die in our earth surroundings, why??? because aliens are not fitted to live here on our climate.... virus, bacteria and fungi are a treat to them.... gravity here on earth are also a treat to them.... oxygen exposed are also a treat to them.... they are not fitted to live here on our planet..... and besides, my fist of my punches are a treat to them.....

I know that a part of me woud want to be gone from there. Still, another part of me would have my curiosity. i would probably try to find a hiding place so i could check out whether or not it was safe to come out again. I cant see myself running up to greet with them without a little precaution behind me. I would also probably wonder why they picked my neighborhood to begin with.

I definitely cant see myself hanging around to see what kind of close encounter im about to have. i will play it as safe as i can.

That means you will follow the alternative option suggested by me that is instead of greeting you would leave the place at once to see what happens next and then to take a decision for further action. Am I right?

I'm a UFO believer as I've seen them quite a few times on the skies in my house usually in late evening or in the middle of the night. First, I'll be suspicious and scrutinizing it first in one way or another. If it seems to be some government project, I'll just go as they must intend something bad. How would I know if they are of government? I wouldn't know for sure, it's just that government (my government) often do very obviously stupid things about UFO thing. So I think I'll know. If it's of a bad vibration, I'll probably know, as benevolent aliens should communicate telepathically. While bad aliens shun telepathic communication as they don't want to reveal their innermost thoughts, being ever on lying mode. So I'll welcome them if they are benevolent aliens. This is my instinctive speculation.

I havn't heard of these terms before? Sounds good though... haha i will have to keep that in mind if i ever see an alien. I doubt it though i live very rural and i don't think that an alien would bother coming all the way here when no one else does!

I am intrigued with the idea of aliens but I don't believe they exist. But for hypothetical purposes, I would not know how I would act if they came down in my neighborhood, I guess it would depend on if they seem nice or mean. But what if the aliens you're talking about come into your area but look just like you and act just like you. What if they look human. Would you even know that they're aliens?

I think it would be wiser to act with caution because it would be impossible to guess the true intentions of the alien,so I would rather hide and keep the distance and observe its behaviour;I would let my neighbours greet their 'guest' and invite him to a drink if they were brave enough to do that.I just hope that when the aliens finally visit us they will be good guys and we'll have some fun together.

It is still a matter of dispute among the scientists whether they are good guys or not. You must admit that if aliens come to visit our planet, they would definitely be more technically advanced than man. So man will be under the mercy of aliens who may then behave as the master and may treat man as a slave. So it would be better if they never come here.

I don't believe in aliens. They exist but they are not here around us or if they were then everybody will notice them and trying to contact them.

How is it possible that you don't believe in aliens but at the same time they exist? Is not it contradictory?

Well i do believe in Aliens, but i don't know how i would react in that situation. I guess it depends how spooked the whole thing made me. I would love to say i would greet the aliens, but i am more likely to run and be scared. If i felt trapped into the meeting i would try to cooperate. I think if they were gonna come and try and wipe us out or something then they would have done it by now.

if there are aliens around my house, I'll take the camera and take pictures of aliens. And prove to everyone that aliens really do exist. Because of all this, many people question the existence of aliens.

It is not a movie though. Not all aliens are friendly, there might have a mission to carry to annihilate the human race or something even worse than it. I would definitely leave the scene, and report to the local authorities for further instruction. I don't want to be the one who make the first contact on it. Good luck if you see one yourself. How would you react though?
• India
5 May 11
Well, you may report to the local authorities but do you think they would have anything to do if the aliens are not friendly?

It depends of the alien, if he looks like a human or like a fly. In the second case I should hesitate between a natural and chemical insecticide, in the first, I would say him that my lawn is now a parking for flying saucers.

I can ascertain you that an alien visiting our planet can never be like a fly because in that case they would be superior to us in all respects and they should have a well developed brain which never fits into the concept of a fly.

DoctorDidi, I am not sure if Aliens will land here, we will be able to do anything, whatever will be done, it will be by them only... This is how it may happen: http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi610834969/ This is how it has happened before: http://www.ufoevidence.org/cases/case486.htm http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vyVe-6YdUk

I think you are right because they must be far far superior to us in terms of science and technology. So they will do and we will see what they will be doing with us.

I would leave at once, and then if i found out that they are friendly i would go back and see whats going on. I do believe in aliens and UFOs. We really dont know whats out there.
